That's because we believe in nothing. It's exhausting

Probably not exhausting as my day was.

Thanks but flattery gets you nowhere.Hungrywolf wrote:You guys are crazy.
Or rather, what we believe is what we thought we wouldn't believe which in the end turns out to be the same things decent regular people believed all along, but for other reasons.Bloodied Fox wrote:That's because we believe in nothing. It's exhausting
What?

I remember there being some cool posts here, but the damn forum ate them. Oh well.

I distinctly remember something about shrubberies.TheSuburbanLetdown wrote:I remember there being some cool posts here, but the damn forum ate them. Oh well.
Anyway. Nice page. I like the frame compositions. And I see Maynard's still not caring too much about the shenanigans and minor self-destruction of his roommates. Probably a healthy attitude.
But I wonder what this "other place" Ryan mentions is. He's got a look on his face as if he's talking about an opium den or a brothel.
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
I thought he would be going to destroy the painting. That's what hit me first, anyways.

Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
Yeah, it seems like it could be something important. Seems weird that he's not saying what it is if Maynard's going to come with him any way.Paul Escobar wrote: But I wonder what this "other place" Ryan mentions is. He's got a look on his face as if he's talking about an opium den or a brothel.
It could as easlily be absolutely nothing though.

I remember something about cats, and bunkbeds, and underpants... though I think I added that last part.Paul Escobar wrote:I distinctly remember something about shrubberies.TheSuburbanLetdown wrote:I remember there being some cool posts here, but the damn forum ate them. Oh well.

My first guess was a porn shop.Paul Escobar wrote:But I wonder what this "other place" Ryan mentions is. He's got a look on his face as if he's talking about an opium den or a brothel.
Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
I really want to find out how this arc is going to end now. I don't know why, but I feel somehow there's not that many arcs to go in Severed Ties.
I mean, of course there had to be some sort of pause to introduce all the family members but now?
I predict that Ryan's situation is but a prelude to another arc, and I don't think there's an immediate solution for Evan either..
I think the anorexia thing will at least sort of stabilise with him accepting his illness. Whether that happens through a new confrontation with Cynthia, Ryan, or a tough doctor, who knows.
Or we get a disaster cliffhanger with Evan put in an institution and Ryan kicked out of school.
There's many many different possible outcomes now.

Re: Severed Ties ------->The current arc
Don't worry, The page'll be a little late, but it'll get done. I just want this story to end.
I'm having a lot of breathing problems because of the season, so I didn't get around to drawing this weekend. I was also gone for much of it, and I tend to play video games when I feel ill.
But just so no one gets their hopes up too much, ShannC is pretty much on the right track — some things will get resolved by the end of this arc, and other things are just the beginning. If anyone's wondering, the comic has a set ending, and it's planned to only be the final year in school. This arc takes place in the fall, so summer is when the comic itself ends. At the moment, there are only 3 more arcs planned.
