I'm not saying to make it into a deep symbolist tome or have it be a study of the human condition. But the previous movies had some scenes with good character development.

Harrison Ford maybe? I don't think he was in rush to play Indy again.

Also I'm pretty sure there'll be a sequel. At least I wouldn't be surprised.

To be fair, Episode III was actually pretty good, though I attribute most of that to Ewan McGregor and the fight choreographer

IMO the only good thing in Episodes I-III was Ian McDiarmid, first subtly underplaying, then gleefully overacting when he's revealed to be the villain. That was fun.
