I haven't seen anyone post yet, I think it's because there isn't a starting point yet. So, this topic is your chance. Post ANYTHING (appropriate, of course) about the comics, the series, or maybe some other comics or games you'd like to share info about. In effect, this is the Anything Topic, where anything goes!

Here, I'll start it.
Dragon Kingdoms has been ongoing as a game series since 1998, and as a comic series since 2000. There are six games, spread over four RPG Makers, and 260+ comics.

I read ADVENTURERS, Cat Legend, Castlevania RPG and Secret of Mana Theatre, with the occasional 8-Bit Theater, as well. In their heydays, I also read RPG World, Dragon Warrior 101, and Kid Radd.

The comic has changed over the years.

Comics #1-5 (November-December 2000) The characters look very primitive, and backgrounds are very simple.

Comics #6-50 (December 2000- October 2001) The graphics improve somewhat, but are still a little lacking. However, the story starts to improve. Also, a few characters (most notably Zalen) are introduced during this time. The now defunct RPG World got a crossover comic for Comics #39-41.

Comics #51-90 (November 2001- August 2002) Backgrounds are somewhat more complex and better-looking. A crossover comic for [http://adventurers-comic.com] ADVENTURERS! was made for Comics #59-63, and [http://www.nuklearpower.com/latest.php] 8-Bit Theater got one for #79-82.

Comics #91-125 (August-December 2002) The comic is twice weekly, other than that, the defunct Dragon Warrior 101 got a crossover comic for #99-104.

Comics #126-167 (December 2002- September 2003) The comics return to once a week, but at the same time, the quality improves. Some of the later ones are especially good compared to those of 2000-2001.

Comics #168-197 (September 2003- January 2004) Although the comics here are high quality, quite a few of them are also missing, the numbers placeholders in the story.

Comics #198-255 (February 2004- May 2005) The peak of the comic series. The backgrounds are at the best in the series, as are the characters' graphics. The story gets quite good too, especially in the 2005 part of the period. Also, the series joined what was then KeenSpace in April 2004, and got listed at [http://thewebcomiclist.com] The Webcomic List in November of the same year.

Comics #256 and up (June 2005- present) The conclusion of the main series. It's not finished, yet, and won't be until the placeholders are filled, and a new series is ready.

Erm... why is the peak from 198 to 255 instead of the very end of the series?

Because it's comparing fewer comics, maybe? If there were 50 comics after #255, that would be the peak. But there's only 5, each of just about equal quality as the earlier ones (#198 and up). One of the reasons the comics went to hand-drawn in the spinoff series was that the style stagnated (there's not much change from the characters around, say, 2001 and those of June 2005), and the other was that I was told the comic would look better with that, as well.

Eh... I'd consider the peak to be the ones of highest quality, regardless of number. I would assume those to be the ones at the very end.

Sucks that there's some missing from the 168 - 197 section, though.
