Lucky Ladd versus!
So, somebody, without stopping to think of the consequences, told me it was ok to be silly on this forum...
I came up with the following:
You know the ol' 'Superhero Death Match' game? I present a special edition: Lucky Ladd versus, in which we prove that Lucky would own any superhero going.
Don't believe me? Check this out:
Lucky Ladd Versus! Superman
As the fight is about to start, Superman hears that Lois Lane has stubbed her toe and dashes off to save her before the fight, but it turns out she stubbed her toe on a large piece of kryptonite and Supes is incapacitated. Lucky wins by default!
Lucky Ladd Versus! Cyclops
Cyclops gets grit in his eye and is too busy blinking to enable him to use his eye beams... or see that he's about to fall off the warehouse roof on which the fight is taking place.
Lucky Ladd Versus! Batman
God, where to start? Batman was docked five points after arriving late 'cuz the Batmobile burst a tire, then he tripped over his cloak, which led to his bootlaces getting tangled in the utility belt. The laces snapped and at the crucial moment Batman's boot came off, causing him to lose his footing and fall down a convenient hole.
Trust me on this one, Lucky rules! Got any more Lucky Ladd Versus! entries?

*laughs* Awesome!
Lucky Ladd versus Superman:
Before the fight, Lucky gets a new bandana. Fight begins - turns out it was made of Kryptonite! Who knew? Lucky wins.
(For a weirder fight)
Lucky Ladd versus Longshot:
No one manages to get anything done. Every move by either hero gets perfectly countered. Finally, both heroes get bored and wander off.
Tie match!

VOICE OF GOD:
Lucky Ladd's powers are not limited by distance or time. This is their great power; his powers could actually start affecting events days, weeks, or even months before the issue that they require come up - in theory, for truly major and unavoidable threats. However, they can be overloaded, and they aren't absolute. Lucky can be (and has been) hurt, and a sufficiently skilled opponent can certainly slow or stop him (note Phil successfully snagging him way back in Scene 1).
A character like Scarlet Witch, who can demonstrably and easily screw up fate to a ridiculous degree, would massacre Lucky, as would a character like Leech, who just wipes out superpowers. (Probably, Batman could flatten Lucky too, assuming he knew about Lucky's powers and was ready to change tactics to statistically likely actions. Without that knowledge, he would lose, because luck usually favours him pretty strongly.)
Whee! Information!

Heh, somehow I KNEW there was a supervillain based around hexes.
I know his lucks not infallible but I figured failures would be pretty random so I was looking for surefire wins. Powers that directly trump "luck". Eliminating range and time kills a few, but theres still a variety of weaknesses available. That said, I think it works out to a fairly balanced superhero.

Okay, silly comment. But you've got to admit, it would be an amusing fight.

And I suppose as of today, we have... Lucky Ladd VERSUS His Own Powers!
A fight worth watching, clearly.

Lucky's already familiar and friendly with Irene, and with many of the other employees of Malefico. This annoys Dr. Ecchs to no end, which is one of the reasons Lucky does it.

Ahh, but then we're back to Lucky versus his evil twin.ArkKMS wrote:I gots it. Lucky Ladd vs Peter from the show Heores. Peter would leech Lucky's powers and it would be luck vs luck. And, if some other hero should up, Peter would gain thier powers also. Wouldnt that be a fun fight.

Although, if Peter's been near Sylar recently, Lucky's doomed.
((Seriously, if Peter ever finds out about Sylar's range of powers and gets close to him knowing what he's capable of... craziness will ensue.))
