If only I could draw...

The lives of two self-proclaimed geek/gamer chicks as told by themselves. Sadly, we don't have to exaggerate much from reality.

If only I could draw...

Post by E~Man »

...I'd make up somethin' for Kristy to post. (see #46)

*sigh*

The only kind of drawing I can do is Mechanical Drafting and I suspect that a piece of machinery I've designed isn't quite the sort of drawing that is sought here.

So...C'mon somebody with some talent must have something to send in :D

I thought about drawing something. I decided I didn't care if it looked like crap or not. But then I realized I'm not funny -_- So, I gave up the idea ; ;

I actually started on one.

I got a passable version of myself, basically by staring at the sketches done by Sara and Kristy for about 30 minutes.

That got me to a passable FACE, I should say. My body looks like I'm either incredibly scrawny, or hugely muscular. I'm neither, so that's obviously out. Apparently, I went to the Rob Leifeld school of drawing the human body. Did I spell his name right?

I also tried to write dialogue, and found out, that when writing down to my level of drawing skills... well, the writing suffers too. I just can't articulate anything that I'm thinking.

Then I tried to draw Sara, and got a warped version of her that would probably make children cry.

I kinda stopped there.

Tempting as it is, I'm afraid I just don't have the manual dexterity to draw anything with the skill required to allow my fragile ego to place it on the web for everyone to mock.

Makes me respect what Sara and Kristy do here, even if they did go to school for art. Incredibly impressed.

So far I've got two (or three if you count the one we already had). I'm gonna make up a fanart page soon as I get a moment. And I'll totally put up the stick figures so long as it's funny. XD

I have a guy in the Amateur Press Association (APA) I run who draws a cartoon strip he calls "Left Handed Comics".

He's a very good artist but his strip is totally stick figures and it's one of the funniest/weirdest things I've ever seen.

So, yes...good stuff can be done with stick figures.
