Over the past few weeks, as part of my lunch, I've been making Cambells Chicken with White & Wild Rice Soup with dried hot red pepper flakes...yum! :D

It I think I'm going to need to go shopping for some food as well. It seems that I have been munching on oreos and ice breakers sours for the pass 2 days. Well at least I have fruity fresh breath between the times I smell like chocolate and cream :P

My breakfast today consisted of a cold slice of Papa John's pizza and some diced watermelon.

There's a Papa John's in Syracuse and I stop in there when I visit the comic shop out there and have a craving for pizza...yes, I really do drive 40 miles or so to get comics and enjoy some damn fine pizza.

No argument there, sir! :shucks:

Comics and pizza are always a winning combo! Just don't get your greasy prints on the covers! :ick:

You win all over for this comment. Thought you should know.

By the way has anyone heard of red bean paste? They refer to it alot in Bleach and I am unfamiliar with it's edibility, as all references to it in the anime are related to most character's haboring disdain for Orihime's taste in food.

Hmm...yeah, I've heard "red bean paste" and other kinds of bean paste mentioned in numerous animes, mangas and a few Asian movies I've seen.

I've never seen it or tasted it but there's now a good sized population of Asians (Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans...not sure how many Japanese) in my general vicinity and I know of a few small, ethnic grocery stores and some decent restaurants in my area. Perhaps I'll pop into a store and see what they have, the next time I'm in that area.

I'm always willing to give weird food a try.

Red bean paste is awesome and I love it.

It's really sweet, though you wouldn't think so. (which is the reason they're mocking Orihime's cooking... doesn't she like put it with leeks or something?!?) I actually have some red bean popsicles in my freezer right now that we bought at the asian market yesterday. If you ever come across something called daifuku (they're little balls made of rice dough filled with bean paste) get them. They are delish. I've only ever seen them at asian groceries and anime cons.

MMmm...sounds tasty.

Although, the Asian specialty foods are minimal around here. I'll poke around the few very small shops in my area that I know of sometime but I won't get my hopes up. Cool stores like Asian Markets don't exist here. (~Cries~ )

If I make it to Otakon this summer or a visit to Savannah (I'm trying to do both this year), I'll haveta buy some of this neat stuff which I can't get here.
