I'm pretty sure Matt used to D&D, so let's have a look in December--we'll have lots of sit-around time while Bulgy's on the boob!

It's amazing how many people got stats that really don't go with their class.

I'd like to see a party of us try anything :P

We'd have to get by with the uber bard skills of SpecialK and charm EVERYTHING ;)
Hmmm, a signature. Never was good at these things. I always end up rambling on about nothing. crap >< I did it again :P

Cathe and I were in a mage heavy party on FFXI, and I put warrior for my black mage's subjob just so we had a second provoker! We did awesome! YAY GHETTO DARK KNIGHT!

Well, I never said it wouldn't work.

I think it would work, but it be a very hard run through.

Might be interesting to try though if ya want a difficult game.

Don't get me wrong, I was raised Christian and don't have too many problems with them individually (their churches and rules are another thing), but still... it was a freakin' Christian chain letter!!!!!!! WTF??? Are we in third grade again??? Maybe we should have replied with an urgent prayer that religious people act semi-intelligent at least some of the time.

Maybe they can't behave more reasonably because they're represented by people (a la a certain congressman from Alabama) who want to dig a hole in which to dump all books that offend them. My first goal as a writer is to be published, my second: banned from that state ^_^ Both should happen at the same time if all goes as planned, precioussssss. /rubs hands together deviously.

Hmm, I guess it was angry rant time. ^_^;;; Gomen. /bow

The whole Christian "convert now or die" thing has been pissing me off since there is a group of kids at my school that go to Six Flags over Jesus that are trying to convert me. And when I say Six Flags, there is no exagerration, the church sanctuary is three times bigger than a normal parking garage. Sorry if I've offended anyone with this post. Perhaps there should be a random post section on the forum.

Um... Yeah, not to sound to negative or anything but please don't generalize. There are only a very few groups that really push conversion, most Christians I talk to won't even bring it up in passing, but if they do, it's typically just brushed off by the other. And, yeah, Christians, espically Catholics do have history, but it really get's annoying being haggled on about events in the Church's past when people don't even remember other events in the world at the same time.
That would have appeared to have turned into a semi-rant.
But I've also got to agree with "mind seems to shut down when religious conversations start" which could also explain my experiences....

Yeah, sorry about that, it's just that when there is a group of people that start bashing a religion that they don't know a thing about, it gets annoying. Your probably right about the mind shutting down as most Christians I know are kind and respect my views, most don't even make a reference to it. Hopefully this will be the last post of its kind. Once again I say sorry to all who were offended

The posty-religion-off-topic thingie was my fault... sorry! /bow profusely. I was thinking of Georgia's anti-gay amendment and then something K told me happened at her work set me off. I should know better than to start religious discussions... after all, that's what my lj's for ^_^ I think we think it's okay to tease/mock slightly the Christian thingie because that's where we were raised... but if someone is a cool, nonjudgmental person, nothing negative I ever say about religion applies to you! You rock! Rock, I tell you!!!

I think we would all benefit from a random section! Give us random! Wouldn't it be fun to have a section were you could say things like, "I like cheese!" or any of K's random quotes of the day?

Back on topic, since I am a chaotic good half-elf paladin, methinks my god would be Corellon Larethian... though I kinda like St. Cuthbert. ^_^

PS. Aaronost, this "Six Flags over Jesus" you refer to wouldn't be in Alpharetta, GA, would it? And it wouldn't so happen to be Northpoint, yes?

I don't really have problems with religion. If it works for you then that's super awesome A++ will buy again. What I do have a problem with is people who treat religion more like laws and politics than spiritual beliefs. And these are typically the hypocritical people who think they are right and everyone else is going to hell. For example, here's what happened to me at work yesterday that Cathe was referring to.

I was ringing up a little old lady and after she had paid and started to walk off, she stopped and said to me, "By the way, I was offended that you have a gay and lesbian section in your store." (I work at Barnes & Noble, btw)

I stared at her confused and said, "I'm sorry you feel that way?"

She replied, "Yes. I was offended by the whole section. I don't think you should have that in your store. It's just wrong."

At this point, I would have gotten into a heated argument with this crabby old witch, but my manager was standing nearby and I didn't want to start something infront of her. So I just shruged and said, "I can't do anything about that, mam."

"You should bring it up to your managers," she said as she walked off because I had shut myself up to stop from saying some pretty mean things. "And get that taken down."

I imagined her impaled on skewer, then proceeded to check out the next person in line.

Those are the people I hate.

Aaaaaaanyway. Cathe, Fred, and I are actually thinking about running a D&D game with ourselves as characters. It'll probably be hilarious. Also, Fred and I doodled our D&D counterparts at work today. Here they are:

I'm about the same on religion, you don't throw yours at me I won't throw mine at you. Acctually, since you brought up Barnes and Noble, I remembered my own experience there with someone similar to your old lady.

I was in the "Alternate Religion" section, as they put it, I'm wicca btw, and some old lady started goin off on me about how I'm goin to hell and all. Those are the people that piss me off >< Mindin my own buisness and they think its their job to "save" you. Ahh well, I'm just complaining now, don't mind me.

On a side note: I'm still trying to catch up with you guys on seraph, we just don't seem to be on at the same time. If it helps, I usually get on around 11:30-12:00 EST and stay on for a while into the morning. Plan to do that tonight, but don't get on just to give me a pearl if you need sleep or are doin somethin else. I usually do a search for all three of ya each time I get on just to check.
