Once upon a time, there was this superhero who would swoop into Wal*Mart with a red pen and correct all the spelling, comma misuse, and grammar on all the signs! No one ever saw her face, but I am sure GG stood for Grammar Girl.

Yes, bad grammar and spelling makes english majors and librarians cry.

Describe some of the weird crap we find in library books or left behind in the library. I'm sure some of that stuff has odd stories connected to it.

There used to be a sign in Louisiana that lead to the exit for a pumpkin farm and to the town called Baptist. The sign read:

Next Right:
Baptist
Pumpkin Center

Which usually started a slew of baptist pumpkin jokes. Sadly, the sign has since been changed to be more legible. I wish I'd taken a picture of it.
