The one good thing about Savannah..

So my best friend Leeanne told me she wanted to see Savannah, cuz of all the wonderul landscapes and such that they use for movies. Well..nothing that wonderful has happened for the 4 years I've been here so far, up until now!
They're filming part of the next Pirates of the Carribean movie right outside of where I work! It's just one of the ships, but they're letting people on board to take a look at it! Never have I been so excited to actually go to work! YAY US!

Turns out it's the <a href="http://www.tallshipbounty.org/">HMS Bounty</a>, which is a piratey ship, but is not a ship from Pirates. Apparently the radio guy was mistaken. However, it's true that they are letting people onto the Bounty.

Actually, my co-worker talked to the owners of the ship, and it is being used in the movie...things will probably be changed and enhanced with computers, especially since it is one of the last ship of it's kind, it's only natural that movie companies want to use it. They probably make a lot of money just by having it alone.
It's not THE Black Pearl, but it is a ship used in the movie.

I'm still working on driving down there for a visit in September (and hopefully attend my first AWA!), if the ship is still there, I'd love to see it.
