Comic #79 "Gettin' Old"

The lives of two self-proclaimed geek/gamer chicks as told by themselves. Sadly, we don't have to exaggerate much from reality.

Comic #79 "Gettin' Old"

Post by E~Man »

*grin* I really like this one :D

"Gaspity Gasp!", is exactly the same reaction I had when I first noticed the grays...spotted one...then another...then two more...four more...eight...16...32...*faint* (I didn't take it quit as well as Kristy :P )

P.S. Kristy, do you really have duckies on your shower curtain?

I totally do! Our whole bathroom is duckie themed. Toothbrush stand, soap dispenser, shower curtain, and toilet seat cover. ^_^

I first got my two grays when I was 24. >_< Mish has several white hairs in the back of her hair and has for as long as I've known her. They are kinda cute.... ^__^

My hubby got his first gray hairs last year - a little shock of them by his right ear. They're still there, and very cute. ^.^

He found a gray hair on me a few months later, but I can't find it anymore. It might have been a fluke, or it might be reeeeeeeally good at hiding.

Yay! A new comic before the con trip!

As to the grey/white hair thing? Considering how old I am, I've had them A LOT longer than you, Kristy. :shucks:

Oddly enough, in a past email with Fred, she was telling me about wanting snow white gramma hair someday, too.

My hair started going to hell at the end of high school/first couple years of college. Yeah, I expect to have a Captain Picard haircut by the time I'm 50.

Damn you, genetics!

The hair that I have left has been gradually going grey for years. It's still mostly brown but the grey is there. Yes, one of these years, I'll have funky Reed Richards sideburns.

What I really find strange are the crazy-ass WHITE hairs I get in my eyebrows. I just clip them out but I'm curious to grow some crazy old man eyebrows one of these days to see what they look like.

My bathroom doesn't have any duckies but I have a cool stars/planets/constellations shower curtain.

Well, it's hard to say what the years will bring and how kind or unkind they'll be to us.

I'm adopted, so I don't know what the heck I have to look forward to...okay, okay, there's obviously baldness in my birth family but what else!? :o

I tend to be insanely healthy so I doubt I'll drop dead at a young age...At least I hope not!

I still want to be a curmudgeon some day and tell kids to get off my lawn. :shucks:

My family can't tell...we're naturally blond-haired so it's hard to see gray hair on us. Specially my aunt, she dyes her hair all the time, so she virtually never has a gray hair. If she gets one, it's off to the salon!
Some people just can't except the fact that they're old. :shifty: Oh, well. I'd be optimistic, like Kristy. :shucks:

Yeah, it's hard to tell with natural blondes.

My older sister (My late Mom's "blood" child...I've got an older brother , then Mom slipped into adopting mode and picked three more siblings) is turning into Mom but she likes to dye her hair. I don't think she recalls her natural hair color anymore.

My mom was a brunette and pretty much stayed what way without dye right to the end.

My older brother is turning into my Dad but he got lucky and has managed to keep his hair.

Yeah, "oldness" happens to all of us...hopefully! :o

Yay! (Except for the toilet seat cover...those things are a menace...)

How about a duckie toilet "seat"? :o

You could sit down and make quacking noises.
