1000 strips for School Spirit

Post by Dutch! »

G'day again. It's been a little while, but I'm still here. Or at least, call it 'returning to where it all began', as School Spirit was originally a Keenspace / Comic Genesis strip.

Today, May 15th, School Spirit has at long last reached its 1000th official strip, so I thought maybe that was worth posting up. For those who are new on the scene, or haven't looked at it for donkey's years and have forgotten, it's a humour strip based around a handful of Australian primary school kids and the spirits haunting the cemetery next door. If you're looking for edgy internet webcomic humour, this is unlikely to be the place you'll find it. Instead, if you're looking for a lighter, more laid back and friendly read with lots of innocent fun, friendly characters and the occasional darker topic seen through a younger perspective, then this might be something that could keep you reading for a while.

The 1000th strip ties up a lengthy multi arc theme around Grace who has allowed Wendy the spirit to inhabit her body regularly while at school. Instead, perhaps a better place to read through quickly to get an idea for the strip is fromtwenty strips earlier in the archive.

I'll leave it at that for now, people. Give it a look, especially if you like the more quiet, family friendly strips. There's many afternoons of reading here for you, and a very regular, very consistant update schedule to keep returning to.

Lastly, here's a recent strip to show what you can expect.

Cheers! I may still be quiet, but I'll still be here for a few years yet!

Lol, for what it's worth, Dutch, your hefty archive is what is keeping me from getting my WAY review for you finished XD I'm really sorry that it's taking so long, because I'm also trying to catch up my schedule slip within my own comic. Point is, I will have my review for you some day, and that day should be within the stone's throw of days.

It's no rush. I've still got to get my one up too, but report writing is over now, so I have a little more time to look elsewhere now. :) Take your time.
