So unless I'm missing something the parody I'm seeing is that instead of "Playstation 2" its "Masturstation 2." So... why Madden 09 and not Phantom Brave, Katamari Damacy, Siren, King of Fighters XI, etc?

Because Madden is the most popular video game out right now, and this art ties directly to a storyline I'm currently planning.

I never thought of ending it, if anything, I've just been trying to make it better and better...in fact I'm not too far from reaching 200 comics. The box art is actually a new feature I'm testing out, which is parodying box art in general to go along with my storylines...in fact, there's a Madden-related storyline coming up in the next day or so.

Anyway, because this fits in either thread; well the art is pretty good, I like the strong lines and the colours, they compliment each other well. Can't say I'm a fan of n-er jokes unless it's to spell it the English method (R before E) and to be honest it doesn't work too well as a comedy http://theresetbutton.comicgenesis.com/d/20080709.html is brilliant as it's self-insulting and self-insertion with your mascot doing things that are at least amusing in context, I guess it's just the story arc because the rest of it is something I don't see very often, ebonics in gaming. Dang. My biggest crit is that I'm not sure which direction you're aiming for, you're not "crazy" enough to be funny in slapstick, nor brilliant enough with plot and story to try a Monty-phytonesque. I know you're into arcs which is alright, but I think you've nailed yourself in a corner somewhat by being a gamer comic by description. The response to your pic seems to sum up the sentiment, it isn't funny on it's own, and so it depends on being a part of a really good story arc.

Ah, well we wouldn't exactly know that just from the image. Maybe next time you should couple that with a related comic or just say that, you know, so we can see what the big event is on your site (As making a comic about a popular game isn't exactly worthy of shout out for a gaming comic). Also, hey, I know its very popular and all but Madden is not the most popular video game right now, going by how little one hears of it on gaming journalism web site and magazines and amongst general (which is not the same as casual) video game fan chatter.

Point taken. I'd love to parody more games right now (and plan to, don't get me wrong), however, I'm trying to avoid cult and casual games, or games that doesn't have an audience like say, GTA, just due to the fact the I'm trying to attract way more than just gamers. I'm also trying to catch the people who may not have played video games, but have definitely heard of them. That explains why my comic is more Family Guy than Penny Arcade. Because not everybody may not know about the Madden series, but they will definitely notice the nfl and sports references. The box art HAS an entire storyline arc connected with it, and I've planned on having the comic debut with that, but time hasn't been able to allow me to do that just yet.
