War Babies

I think there's enough stuff on our site now to make it worth the visit, so here's the pitch for War Babies.

This isn't going to be appeal to many of you. There are no references to computer games, pop culture, college roommates, furries, ninja, coffee or elves. There are few gags, and so far not much character development. There is violence, non-sexual nudity, bad wordage and crude satire.

There are many faults with the strip so far - probably even more than I'm aware of. But it's got originality and decent artwork going for it, so on some levels I'm satisfied.

I write and do lettering and backgrounds, and my Spanish colleague Iria does most of the drawing and design. We're trying to update weekly on Sundays, but occasionally miss our deadlines. If you do check it out, you'll need to read from the beginning.

There you go. More of an anti-pitch than anything, but self-promotion was never my thing. If you enjoy it, I'm happy. If you don't, I'll just assume you're not the readership we're after.

If you sort of get it but think it's not *quite* hitting the mark, then join the club. And drop me a line. We can commiserate together.

I like it. I even think the lack of references to computer games, pop culture, college roommates, furries, ninja, coffee and elves is a good thing.

One thing, though. I wish you would have the current cartoon on the main page. It's not a big deal either way.

I'm keeping the comics off the main page because I update the site every week by hand, and the comics pages require so many button/link changes it would overload my lazy tech-fearing brain.

But we probably ought to at least change the picture on the main page every now and again. That would be a good thing to do. If I only had the HTML knowledge to make it happen automatically.

A very good thing, in my opinion.

I think the strip is off to a good start. It's sorta creepy seeing all those cherubic commandos, but no doubt that is the author's intent.

I'm intrigued. It will be interesting to see where this is all leading.

Great art, story and concept.

The single-page cartoons are a great feature too.

Thanks for the positivity.

And apologies for the stuttering update schedule. We need to work on ways to get a chapter out every week because lately, we suck.
