Hi,

I would really appreciate some feedback on my comic.

http://notatthisaddress.blogspot.com/

Story:
The illustrated user's manual for my life.
Contains:
Throwing a sickie
Drinking too much
Shopping for contraception
Drug hunting pet rats

I am waiting on a comic genesis site so the images are currently sitting at blogger which is exeptionally shite for viewing images. It has restricted the images so they are a bit poxy to view. That said you can still get the gist of what they are about.

They are originally designed for print so the layout isn't that good in a browser (I write zines). But I am awaiting the funds to buy a tablet and convert to web comics (yes, I have read the Scott McCloud visual essay and will design my layout accordingly).

As my signature reiterates, the content is for mature audien... well, just make sure you are over 18.

Cheers,

Awesome work Simmy! I dig your humor and your style. It kind of reminds me of Mad magazines i used to read as a kid. Your Drunken Checklist is Hilarious! (I had no idea chicks used empty TP tubes to wipe) and the drug-hunting rat hits a little close to home... :P I'd offer more constructive criticism, but i can't do it right now. Maybe one of the more experienced forumites can respond.

I liked it alot. The only thing I would do is make it easier to page through and view the comics themselves. I'm not saying that I don't like your blog or anything, but it was really annoying scrolling through all the entries to find your comics.

I am concerned my drawing style varies a little too much to keep my characters consistently identified...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping to move the comics to a more user friendly site. Any criticism to improve the narrative or layout would be choice!

I think your drawing style rocks. It's great honest material too, good writing. The journal-like format is appropriate for the journal-like comic. Though navigation on comicgen is cool, comments about situations surrounding the comics are good.

Good stuff.

Thanks for the feedback...

Hopefully things will progress with a new site and a graphics tablet...

That's good, nyu, your drawing style should vary as you begin to draw more frequently (it should all be for the better).
