<i> "A rebelious teenager is summoned to the parallel universe of "Manga-Land" and given the powers of that world's greatest superhero "GKaiser". The only problem is they accidentally summoned the wrong guy!"</i>

I'm not having too much luck trying to advertise this comic on the weblists, so I guess a plug-in here wont hurt.

Maybe someone can give me their opinion on what they think about the comic or the layout of the webpage? We've been around since the start of April and barely get 10-15 hits a day, even on update days.

We have 24 pages of Issue #1 up so far, and add a new page every Monday and Friday.

Not bad at all. I like the site layout and the comic, only thing i'll say can be improved a bit is your backgrounds but in any case having a bg opposed to not is still good. Just add a tad more detail and your rock'n.

I hear you, getting that initial audience can be (is proving to be) impossible, this is definately a good place to post though.

The website looks great, and fthe art is also top notch, but from a glance over the first few strips in the archive I would say the story is developing too slowly. The premise talks about superheros and another world but I'm on page six and hes still at school.

Yeah, I agree the story begins slow. I constantly tell myself I probally should have started the first issue with Richter already in Manga-Land as GKaiser, but my problem was that I really wanted to give a solid background to the character, and since he comes from our world, I though it best to start with his origin in the first issue. It's something I still have mixed feelings about, but I felt in the end it will be better to give that solid background for the character, since he is the main character.

Although the comic is a parody, it still has a plot.

As for the artwork, Jen does that. I write the stories and she draws them, but I'll pass on the comments about the backgrounds to her.

As for the "VJ" question, at first I thought you were talking about another webcomic so I was at a loss but I googled VJ and came up with Viewtiful Joe websites :p

Truth be told, I had an idea of what GKaiser should look like long before VJ ever came out (I started writing GKaiser scripts way back in 1998, in fact). The only thing they really have in common is they both have a long scarf-cape (though GK has a -very- different scarf design, thanks to Jen who came up with an even better one than I had originally imagined), but in actuality GKaiser was originally meant to be a parody of Power Rangers, and the "Deathfist Ninja" inspiration is actually a tribute to Science Ninja Team Gatchaman; which is also what Viewtiful Joe is somewhat based on as well.

Anyway, I designed concept of what GKaiser should look like using the CoH character design tools, and Jen made appropriate changes in order to bring him to life. Her final design is pretty good, isnt it? :p I'm a little bias, but I think he looks pretty cool, heh.
