Outlaw Chronicles

Just trying to earn my stripes in the web comic world. Or rather, strips! GET IT?! AHAA!! HAHAHAahaaa....heh... *awkward silence* ....heh...? .... *ahem*

Bear with, I'm new to this pitching thing.. ^^;

A very basic synopsis: 6 outlaws, 4 Bounty hunters, a demi-God/Demon and his regrowing army, and 1 powerful Gods-created wish-granting relic ready to be activated. You do the math.

It's a fantasy setting with hints of sci-fi and a somewhat backwards protagonist set-up. The Outlaws are our lovable heros, with the Bounty hunters as the bad guys, changing the way you feel about lawful 'good', and a three-way battle rather than an 'us or them' mentality.

Right now it's on DeviantArt until I post it here on Keenspace. Hope you enjoy the first chapter with no cover art!: http://www.deviantart.com/view/15595125/
Constructive critisism encouraged. :3

I suggest getting a Keenspace account, clicking through Deviant is not easy and Keenspace is a free server.

I have one, and I'm currently working on putting my stuff on it. The DeviantArt thing is temporary. I've just been a bit too busy lately to do anything. I just wanted to share the magic thus far.

.... Ok, fine, it's not that great, but it's magic to me! I'm finally making a comic! This is the farest I've ever gotten! Previous comic attempts haven't gotten past the first page! X3

Well, considering that Deviantart seems like it was almost intentionally set up to discourage easy comic navigation, you've done a pretty okay job adapting it for that purpose. I agree with the other guy up there, though, get a keenspace account. That's what it was designed for.

The comic:

Nice swashbuckling feel to the story. The banter is light and entertaining to read, and I like how you tied in the two stories at the end of the chapter together. The green guy's accent is a nice touch as well.

The art is Good with occasional flashes of Even Better. (The cat girl and the first time we see the airship stand out) I like that you've chosen to use a non digital media for your colour, but I would suggest finding a different medium than the markers you're using. The marker lines detract from the artwork and sometimes make the images hard to read.

One other suggestion would be to either do your lettering digitally after the fact (Blambot has a nice selection of free fonts) or get a rolling ruler to do guidelines for the lettering.

Overall I think it's a great start, though. :)

I know, I'm trying to get my stuff on Keenspace, but I've been having some trouble. I'm gonna do a bit more troubleshooting, then when I've exhasted all ideas, I'm gonna beg for help in the Help Center.

I've also recently have gotten my hands on some watercolor pencils, and I like them a lot, so I think I'll be doing the mix-media thing pretty soon.

Thanx for the comment! :3
