Pitch somebody else's comic at me

This is where you advertise your webcomic to your new audience, and get it reviewed by the community. Read the rules before pitching.

Pitch somebody else's comic at me

Post by Ian Moulding »

I'm back after a prolonged battle with carpal tunnel syndrome and a crashed computer. I'm building a webcomics review site, but the prototype has two comics so far and isn't ready for launch. Vote here for webcomics you feel deserve more exposure than they're currently receiving.

Two points:

1) Don't vote for your own comic. Everybody thinks their stuff deserves more attention.

2) It doesn't have to be a Comic Genesis/Keenspace comic.

As an added bonus in a few weeks I'll finally, finally, be able to post preview material from my own webcomic. All those people who I've savaged in my reviews will be able to wreak their terrible vengeance upon my fragile artist's ego.

Not sure I understand. The entire forum is here for that express purpose.

But whatever.

I have a couple of reasons for this. One, if it's just stuff I'm interested in it's going to be a bloody limited reviews page. Two, I'm looking for strips that people think deserve more attention than they get, so I can do some small part in getting them that attention. Advertising, in other words.

Edit
If you think this post belongs in another area, move it and let me know.

I guess it's fine here, it's just that this thread seems redundant. Everyone who comes to Comic Pitching does so to find new comics or to tell others to look at their comics. Every thread here is doing exactly what you're asking people to do.

She doesn't really have a site with all her strips, but I like Deb Aoki's work.

Achewood is an extremely good comic, and one of the smartest comics on the internet, in my opinion. Plus, my brother's friend's older brother used to play poker with the author, so hooray for having distant connections to celebrities that don't actually know me.
I'd also like to mention Stolle Bengtsson (http://www.stollebengtsson.com/), since it is extremely odd and disturbing and the author is a cool guy.
<a href="http://dansedansemacabre.net">Danse Danse Macabre</a> is pretty funny how about you go read it

Anyone of the contestants on the lazy grind, found here: http://oosterwijk.keenspace.com/lazy.htm
or
Mr. Bob's Star Bored, found here: http://oosterwijk.keenspace.com/ would be awesome.

....except Elvenbaath, of course. I only have 23 strips. :P

I'm not sure why, but I always kept a links page of most of the comics that I read... ...probably just to actually do something with the little webspace my isp provides.

There are two pages, maybe you'll find something you like...

Thanks. That's over two dozen webcomics I normally would never have found. I'll read through them (Luckily I read fast) and post reviews of some of them on my site.

I'll post a link to the site in a couple of days (I'm having design issues right now, mostly because my HTML skills are less than l33t), probably under General Discussions or OTJ. With some webring and dropdown memberships, hopefull I can help get more readers for worthy webcomic scu- Ahm, creators.

I hope you're reading Anywhere but Here.

http://anywherebuthere.comicgenesis.com/

Go today and look at his five page (5 page!!!) update today. He does this sort of thing all the time, and every time he does, I'm that much more hooked.

Also, for some others, I have my links categorized here:
http://ttg.comicgenesis.com/ttg_links.html

Might find a few you haven't seen in there, never know (I read over 400 comics monthly, so this is only a selection of my favs, but there's still around 70 or so in those lists I think)
