'Crap Rares'

Post by Justin3000 »

Greetings everyone! My name is Justin and I'm new to the boards here. I flocked to this thread, because, well, I'd like to do a little plugging for my webcomic. There seems to be some good stuff here so I'll be hanging around from now on.

Anyway, my comic is called 'Crap Rares'. It's been online for over a year now, so I've got a pretty good archive. It's updated weekely, so I only do one comic a week.

It's about two guys, Foley and Dave, who work in a comic store. And that's really all you need to know. There's some pretty insane stuff that happens, but I'll let you folks discover that on your own.

There are a few words that some might find objectionable, but no f-bombs or anything harsh like that. Just words that T.V. shows can use after 9 p.m. :)

You can find the very first comic here. And there's a next button so you can progress your way through. I will suggest that you be on something faster than dial-up. Not to say that you won't get to see them on 56K, but each comic is full-color and a bit more higher-res than most.

So that's that. Please let me know what you folks think and I'll thank you all ahead of time for taking the time to give it a look. All criticism is appreciated. I'm always looking to find a way to make the comic better, so let me have it. :D

Thanks again and enjoy!

-Justin

Okay I've seen a few glaring problems with your webcomic and I only just started reading it. There is NO comic navigations anywhere on the main site, sometimes, the text isn't even readable, and those are the only two glaring mistakes...

Other than that... keep up the good work. I loved the one with the stormtroopers.

Thanks for taking a look at my stuff. The text gets better in the later comics. The site is best viewed in 1024x768 or 1152x870, I guess I should have mentioned that...sorry.

As far as main navigation, there's the 'New Comics' button on the left that should get you to the current month's stuff. Let me know how I can improve it though. All feedback is appreciated.

This Week's Comic is up. It's another 'Slice of Life' comic, so bear with me. Foley will return next week.

I just really like drawing me and my family. It's fun and I can take any artisitc freedom I want....so why do I still draw myself a little tubby? And where are my robotic cyber-arms?!

...I gotta get back to the drawing table....

Enjoy!

Thanks Steve! I'm glad you took the time to check it out and liked it. I think this Halloween will be something along those same lines.

New Comic Is Up!
Remember that Dave got paired with Moon Knight? Well, last week Foley got his costume *shudder*, so this week, Dave gets his.

I've also re-organized the 'Old Toons' section and pulled some stuff from the existing pages. I attempted to trim down the page load times and having links to the other months on most of the pages seemed a little redundant.

Let me know how I did and as always report any busetd links and most importantly...enjoy!!

New Comic Is Up!

This is one of my favorites. Pretty fanboy topical and it's got some of my best work artistically in it. I dig it and really, any way I can take some pot-shots at Bendis, I'm going to...all in fun though.

Enjoy!

Okay this week's comic is bizarre. The main page explains why. But for some reason I'm proud of the dialouge in this comic. Don't ask me why, but it just makes me giggle. And when I can make myself laugh, then I know I've done my job.

As always, enjoy folks!
