The LAB

Your basic four man funny comic. Follows 4 guys and their adventures in a computer lab at their school. The comic is hand drawn by yours truly, Joe Masaki, and then colored by Super Stu. He's tried a few styles, and my artistic hand get's a little better with every comic (READ: I'm not using only black ballpoint pen anymore).

The comic also has, once a week, a page from a manga I am writing and drawing that will be uploaded. I usually draw the pages in one take, which means pen, all the way, no erasing. It's gonna be a fun ride.

Check it out, and link to us if you can!
Thanks!

PS: Feel free to contact myself or stu about the comic.

Labs rule!

Post by Cortland »

First off, I love the concept. I was a lab monitor in a college for about two years, and it's amazing what kind of hilarious situations can turn up in that environment, especially some of the things newbies ask when they encounter problems with Photoshop. A lot of my comics revolve around "the lab." There is definite potential here!

I think the layout of your strip, though, needs a little work. Mainly, it's way too big and much larger than it needs to be. Try compacting the dialog and characters into a more managable series of panels, maybe take a look at some other comics and see how they flow.

Don't stop, though! It's a good concept, especially if you're a lab monitor--there's humor in every day at work!
