Finally, after waiting ten weeks I have enough pages to advertise my comic, Chain of Descent, here.
The images are too large to post in the thread here, but the rough description I would give about the comic is that it's a throwback to the 80s era of superheroic soap operas. The feeling I'm going for is similar to the X-Men back in the 80s and early 90s; back when Clairemont was good and before the big comicbook publishers decided to go with glitz over substance. The images are full-color, and my process takes on average two days to complete a page (which is why it only updates twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays), but I do tend to rush a bit just to get all the necessary steps done to create an image so the art isn't nearly the best of my ability, but I hope it's sufficient enough to show what's going on in the story.
I would love for honest critiques from everyone, but mostly I'm just hoping people check it out and maybe tell their friends who might be interested about it.
To everyone who takes a moment to check it out, "Thank you."
~Ric.

Re: Chain of Descent
Like the premise. Great art.
I just don't know the characters much, and there is a lot of text in some of the panels. I would prefer such things stretched out over two strips rather than cramming all the dialog and descriptions into one, but that's just me.

It's great to actually see these kinds of comics again.
Not enough glitzy comics these days...

Re: Chain of Descent
WOW! Incredible art, dude, and a cool story as well. Looking forward to seeing more.
Re: Chain of Descent
Thanks for the comments, everybody. I really appreciate it.
As for this:
That was something I noticed after a couple of weeks. I was just being waaaaay too wordy. I'd spend hours working on the characters and then covering them up with far too many text balloons so you couldn't see them anymore.
More recently I've cut way back on the dialogue. I'm a bit sad that it's slowing down the pacing of the story (even though I'm still in the "introductory" phase) but it is definitely less cluttered and, I think, becoming easier to follow.
This is my first attempt at trying something like this, and I'm learning as I go along.
