Here is my family-friendly comic strip named Towner. Not all of them are up, but as many as time allows. Over 100 are currently up and more to come.

What can I say? Bookmarked!!!

I like the artwork. It definitely reminds me of Calvin & Hobbes, but that's a good thing. You're no hack.

Your most recent comics have what I guess I would call "advertisements" and Memorial Day strips. While I think these are nice, they may be a turn off for people wanting to get right in and read the stories you've developed. Just a thought.

By the way, I like that it's family friendly. Non-family friendly comics are a dime-a-dozen. I think it can be a challenge to create fun to read comics without all of the violence and crude language. Good job.

One last thing... I really like the way you draw the character, Cow.

Haha, thanks! He's based after both my best friend and my own twisted side.

Wow! Thanks! I was deeply influenced by C&H and I always wanted to show my love for Watterson's work without ripping him off, so I greatly appreciate that! Now I'll have to work on getting more up. I'm on a hiatus right now because I'm working on a freelance flash animation project, but I'll get back to work as soon as I finish with that.

Yes, I think you're right. I've thought about that too. Mainly, they are my newest ones and I put them up first because I already had them scanned into the computer. The past year, I haven't done many new ones other than a couple of ads (for my mom's greenhouse), I've just been scanning, occasionally coloring, and uploading all of my old ones. It has been quite the task. in fact, all day today, I've been scanning old ones and putting the in the archive.
By the way, I like that it's family friendly. Non-family friendly comics are a dime-a-dozen. I think it can be a challenge to create fun to read comics without all of the violence and crude language. Good job.
Wow! thanks a lot! Sometimes I look at webcomics, and I don't dislike them or anything, but I can see how they aren't published or syndicated because they aren't very family-friendly. And yes, sometimes it is harder to keep humor clean because everybody's so jaded. Even my other webcomic (which was just designed to make my friends laugh - I never dreamed I'd ever put them online for a global audience) uses some crude humor. But I thank my mom and my wife for pressing me to keep drawing and show Towner, as I lost a lot of faith in it after all the major syndicates passed a few years back.

Haha, thanks! Just like Dizzy, he's based after a friend of mine.

Thanks for the comments! For a while there, I was thinking nobody liked them and, like I posted elsewhere, it kind of takes the wind out of your sails when you work your butt off on something and it goes unnoticed. :shucks:
