I've been lurking here for a while, reading the threads here, and impressed by the quality of comics. Thought I'd give web comics a shot after giving up cartooning in my 20's and getting the urge to try it again now that I'm....older.
Ipso Facto doesn't need much of an introduction. I started it in October of '95, and then moved the strips to Comic Genesis. I left out some of the earlier strips that no longer fit in with what Ipso became. Originally it was political, but decided I like to stick to gags. There are no story arcs here, just continuing characters trying to be funny. It feels great to be drawing again after all these years.
I'm looking foward to your criticisms/suggestions.

I'm impressed by your comic, but I'm even moreso impressed by your PBS appearances.
I can't complain about your comic - while not being as cutting edge in terms of art as some comics your comic presents a newspaper-esque style that is pleasing to the eyes. I have only read about a half-dozen pages, but I like the jokes you've written - they're better than most one liner punch strips.

I like the style and the clever sense of humor. Nicely done.

I dig it!
Really clean style and some nice one-liners / short gags. Honestly, this reminds me of the comics I read back in the day (you know, the ones that really made me want to do cartoons in the first place). Stuff like Calvin & Hobbes or Bloom County... and you give everything a really classic touch.
My only beef is with the dialogue balloons in the newer strips. It's a really trivial thing, but I'm a big fan of black outlines. That sounds stupid and looks even dumber as I write it, but I liked the personal quality of the lined balloons as opposed to the newer ones.
Other than that, really good stuff! Keep it up!

Thanks guys!
Ipso started out as a political cartoon back in October. I quickly got tired of that and wanted to just make a comic that would be funny. When I migrated the site over to CG, I left out a lot of strips that don't really fit the current tone anymore.
roswellnewton: I agree with you about the baloon outlines. There's a reason why I stopped drawing the outlines as well as hand-letterering, but can't tell you why just yet. Something cool has happened with the strip but I'm superstitious and won't get into it right now. Let's just say that I'm adapting it for another format and that's why it looks so simplistic.
I appreciate all of you who took the time to look over my comic...the feedback is really important to me. I will try to spend less time lurking on these boards and more time participating.
