A Geek Tragedy

Post by Geektragedy »

Hi.
My comic is A Geek Tragedy. It's a gag comic and it's mostly based on real experiences.

Warning: Contains references to mathematics and cricket.

Got a few chuckles, but I'm not much of a math geek.

Simple comic, simple website, so it works. I would suggest that maybe you use a straight edge for borders of panels, the sketchy look is kinda....off to me. Also, the characters kinda blend in a bit with their surroundings and lack definition. Maybe if you inked them or found some way to darken them a bit. It's got a unique feel to it, so keep at it.

Pretty good humour, nice title! Try and make the art cleaner, like darken the lines, whiten the whites, make the borders straight, etc.

Thanks. I will do that just as soon as I've worked out how to use the GIMP competantly.

Not to be the bearer of bad tidings, but I already read one strip called Geek Tragedy. I don't think I have room in my life for two.

hmm.. yeah someone showed it me before; my guess is we both stole the gag from the same Dilbert strip.

Technically it's a different name of course.

yea definitely work on the art. the humor is just fine, the art and the page need some work. just using an eraser tool in photoshop or MS paint to get rid of superfluous lines would be nice. Other than that i like the comic, title is very catchy and there is plenty of potential. Just pretty up the site and work on the art and you'll be in good shape. Keep up the good work!
