I didn't even know they were making one. Ian McKellen is an absurdly awesome choice as Number Two but, of course, he needs to be replaced every episode anyway.

that sucks that he died I thought he was great and under appreciated. I loved the prisoner, I saw it when sci-fi channel aired it sometime in the nineties. He was brilliant in it. I thought he was great in ice station zebra.
I'm always apprehensive when they try to remake sci fi classics. Usually they don't turn out very good at all. The almost always make you long for the original, even when the remake is decent. However of course being a sci fi nerd I'll watch it, just like i watched the remake of the day the Earth stood still.
Ian mckellen is a good actor so it might just be watchable.

what powerful critical analysis. Your intellectual prowess has stymied me and your argument was exemplary.
The last episode is out there but so is the whole series. I thought that the ending was as ambiguous as the series was. It wasn't meant to be straight forward or have a clear intent. It was one of those rare and brilliant examples of abstract television. It was a cerebral tour de force that was a great commentary on our ever decreasing individuality.
So yeah the original is a must see for sci fi fans.

Bob is just not as good with words as I am. Forgive him, English isn't his native language.

my favorite is either the one where he runs for number two, or the doppelganger one.

I don't know the names.

I'll watch the new Prisoner, but I don't expect it to be as charmingly surreal as the old one.

A, B and C, Living in Harmony and Many Happy Returns are my favourite episodes!
