Harry Potter predictions
I see there’s a Heroes prediction thread, so here’s one for the upcoming (and last) Harry Potter book.
My thoughts, in semi-chronological order. And yes, I’m being serious, no “Harry will visit a plastic surgeon’ stuff. But the rest of you, feel free. Call these spoilers, if you want, but it’s not like I have any inside information.
Harry will attend Bill and Fleur’s wedding, and visit the Dursleys one last time. At one or the other of these events, Voldemort’s forces will attack, and while the attack will be mostly unsuccessful, people will die. Most likely they will strike at the Dursleys’ home, cuz that’s when Harry’s magical protection will expire. In the process of this, Harry will learn something surprising about Petunia. (But not that she is capable of magic...)
Harry will visit the ruins of Harry’s parents’ house, and stumble across one of the supposed Horcrux artifacts there; Voldemort intended to use Harry’s death to create it, but Lily’s sacrifice screwed the spell up. The Hufflepuff cup is most likely, since Harry’s seen what it looks like.
(Ron and Hermione will be along for all of the stuff listed, as long as they are alive. It's very likely one or both will die before it's over. If just one of them dies, it'll be Ron.)
Harry will somehow learn (or realize) that the “locket Horcrux” was hidden in the Blacks’ house, and he will have to track down Mungedous Fletcher to get it back. In the process of this, he’ll finally (sigh) tumble to the fact that the barman at the Hog’s Head is Dumbledore’s brother. It could even be that brother got the amulet off Fletcher already.
Harry will pay a visit to Hogwarts, maybe to check something with the Sorting Hat, or the resident ghosts. The Hat would have made a good Horcrux, but Rowling has specifically stated that it isn’t. Maybe this will be how Harry finds the Ravenclaw-Horcrux; the ghosts will tell him what Ravenclaw's artifact might be.
Harry will have one last confrontation with Snape, and learn that Snape was working for Dumbledore all along, and learn why Dumbledore trusted him. Snape will sneer at Harry one last time and Die Heroically, (hopefully) leaving Harry with the bitter realization that Dumbledore trusted Snape more than he trusted Harry. Harry will rescue Draco, who will be equally-bitterly in Harry’s debt for the rest of his life.
Peter Pettigrew will, willingly or otherwise, step in at a critical moment, repay his own life-debt to Harry, and die as well. Snapping Voldemort’s wand with his magical hand would be a safe bet.
Harry will kill the Voldemort’s pet snake, thinking (incorrectly?) that she is one of the Horcruxes.
Harry will learn that, as a result of the previously mentioned misfired spell, one of the Horcruxes is buried inside his head behind his scar, which in turn will prompt...
Harry passing through that Evil Veil in the Ministry of Magic.. The Deathly Hallows of the title is what is on the Other Side. Harry will meet/be helped by Sirius one last time, before returning to This Side. (And maybe Dumbledore as well, if Dumbledore really is dead; I suspect the whole scene on the Astronomy Tower was staged, so that Dumbledore could disappear behind the scenes. At the very least, Snape killed Dumbledore on Dumbledore’s orders.) When going through the veil, Harry may be chasing Voldemort, or pushing the villain through with himself. I also suspect that some locale in the Hallows is what is being depicted on the book’s American cover.
Also while at the Ministry, Harry will open a certain special door and release Love into the world. (Again, I’m being quite serious. Dumbledore mentioned that the thing exists at one point.) As a result of this, the current Magical government will collapse, and be replaced with.. something better. It might somehow take care of the Dementors as well.
And in the end, however it happens, Voldemort will die. Or be permanently Dealt With. I don’t know if Rowling had the guts to go through with it, but it would be a very nice last-minute twist if Harry learns that someone (coughDementorscough) deliberately ‘created’ Voldemort from the start, warping and twisting him from infancy. And that he (Harry) still has to destroy this creature, who like Harry himself never had any chance to live a happy or normal life. (This revelation would be a good reason for Harry to throw open the Love Door.)
And the aftermath. If they both survive, Ron and Hermione get married and become owners of the Burrow. Harry ends up doing something at Hogwarts, teaching Defense against the Dark Arts, and/or going on to be Headmaster. He may or may not marry Ginny. He may even live happily ever after. Rowling can roll around in piles of money for the rest of her life, and the rest of us have to find some new way to occupy our time.
The End.

I like geoduck's predictions. I for one just wish for there to be none of the teenage angst that was so prevalent in the last book.

Longbottom?
Yeah. My money's on this scenario:
Harry will go up against Voldy, get beaten around a bit and just before the dark lord finishes him off Longbottom shows up and nails he-who-shall-not-be-named by surprise and accident, and everyone lives happily ever after yadda yadda yadda.

My predictions:
Harry IS the last horcrux. Only way to defeat Voldemort for good is if he kills himself.
Ron and Hermione live. And probably live off Harry's fame somehow.
Neville will be the real hero of the story, as he probably was meant to all along. I'd bet Voldemort actually chose him, but killing Harry failed so it was an "accidental choice".
And this is not a prediction so much as a rant. Did it really bother anyone else that Harry got together with Ginny? I mean, honestly. Can we say fanservice?

neville and luna hook up.
neville does something fancy shmancy, otherwise he wouldn't have had such a big role in the books.
Percy dies. so do some of the other weasleys. Possibly ron.
Snape isn't evil. he's just misunderstood.
I agree that harry'll save draco. He's also misunderstood.
Other stuff'll happen!

Well, I'd already come to pretty much all of the same conclusions as [Geoduck], which is surprising really, as it's quite complex. Even the whole bit with the climax being in the Ministry.
Anyway, apart from all that, I have something significant to add. Now, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the whole R.A.B thing, even though it is by now, old hat.
Well, R.A.B is obviously Regulus Alphard Black (Sirius's (supposedly) dead brother). Now, although that's nothing new, there's something most people don't realise. To get the locket horcrux in the first place, there's no way he could have gotten it on his own. What I'm figuring is that he did have an accomplice. Remember the potion Dumbledore had to drink to get at the false locket? What might the effects be if a house elf were to drink it? Maybe send it insane and not just a little bit creepy perhaps?
Kreacher was Regulus' confidant and accomplice in the entire process of tracking down the various Horcruxes. And Harry could find out everything he knows, if he'd only think to ask.
