How's about them alligators?
I was flipping through the channels on tv the other day, when I came across a most unlikely story on the local news channel. Apparently alligators have been spotted in White River here in Indianapolis. White River runs RIGHT by campus...I go by there all the time. I mean, what the hell?!? Alligators in Indiana? They must have escaped from the zoo by campus...but I don't know that there have been reports of any missing. Perhaps someone 'released' their pets.
It was two fishers who spotted them. They called a guy from the DNR over, and of course he didn't believe them. He was checking their fishing licenses when the things surfaced right in front of him briefly. Needless to say, the police were out last night combing the river for 'em. One is only four feet long, but the other is a whopping ten feet!
Cripes. Wonder what would happen if they got into the gondola canal behind the museums.

Okay, MM, time to find your inner-Crocodile Hunter! Go get 'em!

Heh, sorry, that was a little tasteless. But okay...the four foot one I can kinda understand. I guess. But how does one loose a critter ten feet long?!?

I must be watching too much House. I saw DNR and tried to figure how you'd call someone over from the Do Not Recessitate. And he didn't believe them because patients lie.MixedMyth wrote: They called a guy from the DNR over, and of course he didn't believe them.

True story: five or so years ago, we had a couple peacocks escape from the Minnesota Zoo. One went right by my basement window (I live really close to the zoo). I was playing a video game, saw something out of the corner of my eye, glanced up, and there was a peacock in the backyard.
It was so cool.
Of course, I was too stupid to tell my parents until after the thing was gone, and I read in the paper later that they'd been retrieved.

I was wondering why they'd call someone from the Do Not Reply.Skylark King wrote:I must be watching too much House. It made me feel fairly sheepish.
The most interesting beast I've ever had loosed upon my vicinity was a sheep at my primary school. Scared the shit out of me though, because it baaed right behind me and I thought it was someone being a dickhead, only to turn around and find and actual bloody sheep standing there.
