As some of you know, my wife is pregnant with our first child (a boy...John Aaron Tobias Askins) and is due December 5thish. Since the room that will be his was previously a storage room with water damaged walls and ceiling (stupid leaky roof), we've had to redo it. Of course, that brought on the chance to do a bit of creative work. Below is a turn around through the room.

Anyone else using those skills outside the world of webcomickry?

It's a cute room; I like it :).

My writing is being put to work on my own stuff and schoolwork. I haven't had time for outside drawing projects lately.

I'd never figure Noise Monkey for the kind of guy to draw cute animals. :)

Nice room! Any young boy would love it!

That's really cute.

As for the topic, I've painted a few rooms and ceilings,
but outside of schoolwork, work and webcomickry, nope.

I also did a logo for the U of O's music club and some cover art for their mix CD, but nothing special there. I'm kinda sweating a flier that a friend of mine from the local video game store wants me to do for a tournament they're planning...

It won't even last that long. We'll be moving before he hits preschool age and I plan on painting superheroes on his wall at SOME point.

IT IS SO BWOO!

i don't really use my legoing skills outside of my comic, aside from building things for fun. My writing i use all the time, random stories, work, whatever.

That's a really nice paintjob in the room, i like it, you should hire yourself out to paint childrens' rooms.

Awwwwwwwww - that's absolutely adorable :D

The past year has seen me doing acrylic paintings (fricking huge annoying things that they are), several freelance graphic design jobs, and work for my art major. I'm currently in a 2-D design class and a potography class.

But nothing as cute as that. You win. (congrats on the kid, too)

Photography. I can't spell  Though the damn chemical fumes can make you high from lack of oxygen.

I've always wanted to paint on walls. :( And I mean, like, murals and such. And ceilings! Oh well...

To be honest, most of what I do anymore is comics. Between work and grad school, I don't have time for anything else. I do sculpt, though. I can get down to about 30 mm in scale with greens (the stuff they use to make prototypes for thos pewter figurines you use for gaming), and I also sculpt with Sculpey.

Nice room.

I draw cartoons and machines and do magazine layouts for work. I also do grahpic design stuff like album covers and posters. I have some paintings too. I don't care enough to scan anything though.

Oh, come on! It's not like scanning it section by section and then pasting them together would take more than a couple hours!
