Rkolter hospital update - version 2006

Post by Ekolter »

And here we go again.... XD

Same thing as before. As of today, August 3, he's been in for a week. Pancreatis is still inflamed. Also going to do a stress test on him 'morrow. They want to make sure he's ok on every front. He's on solid food, a damn good sign. Might be home weekend if we're really lucky. Probably home next week realistically. Still in room 317. If you want to give the boy a call the number is 314-344-6000. Follow the prompts to connect to his room.

If you want to check up on me, some of you already have Ryan's cell number, which I'm using. If you don't, drop me a PM and I'll give it to you. Please don't give this number to others. I have very limited minutes during the day. And I'm usually on the line with Ryan and the apartment staff trying to get thing set up. Call me at night if you can. I have unlimited minutes after 9pm and on weekends.

Bugger. I'm sure the big bugger will pull through like a Mallee bull though.

He'll pull through fine...or else.

Good luck guys, my suggestion is that rkolter should replace his frail, fleshy organs with superior cybernetic replacements! Then he'll get those laser eyes he always wanted. Faster, stronger, more explodey!

I'm on it!

Beth, my best wishes to both you and him, I'd call and listen to him babble about steaks in a medicated state again but seeing as it would be just a wee bit of a long distance call at this point I can. I know he'll pull through, he's too damn tough not to.

Van and Laem, Ryan says he really appreciated the calls. :D :D

Ryan's off the loopy drugs. The pain meds they put him on are strong but not as strong as Delotted (sp?). I think he's on Perkastat (sp?) at the moment. So he'll be his normal grouchy self when and if anyone calls :P

Oh, and the stress test was "mildly uncomfortable to say the least" as he says. Didn't like it one bit but it only last 6 minutes. Results later. Belly very swollen still. Looks like he's having our triplets.  Has him on stuff to help flush the fluids out.

Boy is saying this is the last time. Eager to enjoy the total fresh start with new loft, new location near major enterntainment, etc.

All I can say to that....I hope it's true. Next one in this family that goes in the hospital better be me to deliver the kid(s).

Over and out for now.

Lots of loves to all,
Bethie

Went up there early today to see him. Got to finally meet his doctor. Ryan's doctor looks a lot like Lego! :o I can't decide if that's a good thing or something I should be afraid of. ;) Anyway, the guy is good. Great bedside manner. Puts things in laymen's terms.

According to the Dr. this is offically the worse bout of the stuff yet. Giving him pain meds every 4 hours instead of 6. Also give him more drugs to help flush the fluid buildup out of him. Keeping him over the weekend. Should be home for my birthday on Thursday. Seriously the only thing they're watching and waiting for is the swelling of the pancreasis to go down. It's still rather inflamed.

Best news. Stress test came back fine :) :) :) :)
