my normal train of thought.

I swear to god I am not making this up. This is probably the best reason I have no friends. (last part is almost literally.)

me: I'm hungry.
my friend: tacobell?
me: sure.
*while eating tacobell* thinking: man... that would be awesome to be ranma.... you could be gay without actually being gay.... plus.... no need for a girl. just stare at yourself in a mirror.....

me: yeah... I'd want to be ranma....
my friend: what? O.o
me: I think I'm gonna put that to that story I'm writing. the dragon one. my character is gonna be half a girl.
my friend: O.O whiskey tango foxtrot.
me: hm.... it's a little bit gayer than being gay for bridget. And I'm TOTALLY gay for bridget. I'd rape his little ass in a heartbeat. :D
my friend: ...... *scoots away* what the fuck are you talking about?!
me: huh? oh... nothing.

actual conversation I had. :D

Goodness. Turn off the playstation, put away the comics, and go outside and run in a field for awhile.

I just came back from snowboard and my favorite sport is paintballing. I just don't like other sports. like football. football is more gay than anything I've ever done.

So what do you call American-style Football? Or do you refuse to acknowledge it on general principle?

There's football, and American football. At least that's what I remember from my Spanish class a few years ago in high school.

I call it fake-rugby, but actually I don't. I just call it American Football, because that's what it IS. Not much to do with feet in game at all, should really be called hand-ball, or helmet-ball.

Yeah, I think that's what the Super Cup is - from memory, my sports-journalist friend was trying to explain what American football was a week ago. It's either that kind of football or baseball.

I call it "GRUUUUUUUUUUH!"

Because that's the first thing that comes to mind when I think about American Football.

I wish my train of thought looked like that.

I keep on missing my trains of thought, so I've only seen them from the back.

People whose mind is wondering in unexpected directions are nothing unusual. Not even people whose mind wonders in nasty directions. One friend of mine tends to do that. You could talk about something with him and the conversation would end into how he gets turned on the idea of milking a woman.
But I like this guy, he's ok, you can talk about a lot of more normal things with him, and after all, you can get a decent laugh from nonsence he talks.
So I think that's not the reason why you don't have any friends.
Perhaps, like Merc suggested, it's more about obsessing over trendy pop-culture and expecting everyone to comply with that obsession ie. to get the references that only a fan would know?
