Fake Movie Posters

Post by Blacklist Billy »

Now that I'm working on actual, honest filler instead of these, I figure they're safe to post without threatening my ability to cover for a week's hiatus. Hah!

I'll be updating this thread from time to time. I got a lot of these.

And here's a 1979 knock-off of the original Starlords. Badly dubbed.

I like the Fargo rip, and I'll probably go see Zodiac... Fincher rocks. Actually, it's kinda creepy how well you've managed to mimic the killer's handwriting...

And now... The first of the Lazlo Wolverton collection... A nonexistant cult classic from 1958...

Nazis accidentally unleash a spectral menace, which posesses pilots, attempts to seduce a reporter lady, and finally turns into a wrestler in a rubber suit who stalks around the airbase killing people. Based on the true story!

I wouldn't know. It was never made. Neither was this:

Late sixties. Satanist exploitation flick. Took full advantage of the new rating system to wallow in gore and nudity. Here we see Lazlo Wolverton doing his best Christopher Lee impression. Yeah, I know, it's a lousy scan. Sue me.

I can't let Bill take all the credit. I came with the ideas for or otherwise contributed to about half of these. Boy, I tell everyone how great he is to work with and it goes straight to his head. :-?

Yeah, this one was Wishie's idea, too. And the sequel, Apex Revelations. And the anime supplement, Apex Reanimated.

I don't really like the ones that are based off of real movies. I think the made up ones are much better. They've got a nice, classic feel to them, like the Phantom of the Stratosphere, and the Hills Cried Blood. Those are just plain fun to look at and imagine.

I always figured people who didn't like the Matrix probably didn't get it. Something about folk's world-view being threatened by big words, weighty concepts, and a monomyth that ends with no clear victory on either side. But on the other hand, when people start running around on the ceiling in slow motion to the sound of over-distorted techno music, it's kinda hard to take seriously. It just tried too much to outdo itself, and became self-parody on its own. In many ways, it WAS a zombie movie trilogy.

Anyway, Col's right. Real movies suck.

Oh c'mon... The machines are supported by the heat humans give off, plus "a type of fusion". a type of fusion?! Shoot, any type of fusion will produce more energy than a human will, and won't require food, water, or millions of machines acting as nursemaids.

And the machines can't figure out that they can just rise above the clouds? Ooh, lightning. That's right. EMF shielding exists for human technology, but not for uber-tech robots.

Hey, here's a thought - quit throwing robots at Neo. Shoot him with a fucking laser - he can't outrun it. He can't dodge it. And you can shoot him from distances where he can't even see you're coming so he can't control you.

Or, here's a thought... The machines can modify the matrix, at the cost of people experiencing dejavu. Big whoop - modify the matrix by filling the room neo is in with hydrochloric acid. Let him comment on the black cat walking across the hallway while his flesh is peeling from his bones.

And HELLO... Giant caverns just don't exist six miles down. But since the machines dug to the city... drop a damn nuke in there. I assure you a nuke can be purely mechanical in it's functionality, and that it will kill everyone in there. EMP? EMP this, bastiches. *BOOM*

Man, if I was in charge of the machines, the only remainnig humans would be encased in lucite for archival purposes and we'd have already branched out to other worlds.

Bah. Humbug. It's like the humans were fighting against DOS based 8088 boxes or something.

Hey, you shouldn't make fun of retarded machines Mr. Kolter, it's not their fault they were stupid, they were just built that way.

I think they didn't want to wipe out humanity, I think they just wanted to teach us a valuable leasson...
About violent videogames, and why people should patent (or is it copyright?) special effects they create so Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen don't use them...
