I was in chemistry class and the teacher was talking about weighing something and I was thinking about how much the word "weighing" sounded like "wang". it made me smile. then he said "...and we will make base with a partner tomorrow." and I'm thinking "which one!?eehehehehe"
I may not pay attention in class, but I get A's on my labs and tests
I had an.... unbelieveable physics teacher my senior year. he was either flaming gay or just socially incompetent. I still to this day debate whether he was just harmlessly clueless and that was why he was always smiling that creppy smile, or if he was one of those quiet little serial killers that no one suspects until he is arrested and then everyone puts 2 and 2 together and are like "you know, he did seem a bit psychotic..."
anyways, I still love re-enacting one of his highlight lectures.
"ok kids, today we are going to learn about STATIC ELECTRICITY!" *claps hands, BIG SMILE*
"everyone to their lab stations! now take the rod that is there, and the electrically charged piece of cloth. now RUB the rod. that's right, RUB IT. RUB RUB RUB... mmmm.... yeah just like that..."
at this point most of the students have a kind of o_0 expression on their face
I'd continue, but the rest is kinda boring to read, you really need to see it being re-enacted.
I have a not-so-wrong-sounding science-related tale: I came into my biology class to find a kid from the previous class sleeping at the desk next to mine. He sat there and slept for fifteen full minutes while the teacher reviewed some notes; finally, the teacher nudged him awake and asked "Are you in this class?", to which the kid responded with a vehement "Yes!".
He sat and stared while we went over the Calvin cycle for five minutes before exclaiming, "Oh, crap!", jumping up, and running out the door.
