OMFG! an actual poll. (Art Classes)
I've heard a lot of people talk about their art classes, I'm just curious how many people have actually taken one at some point.
depends on what you mean by art. after elementary school, i've taken drawing and painting I, last semester, and am taking Commercial Art I atm. I'm taking D&P II and III next year, I've already seen my schedule >:3 I haven't taken any other art classes yet, though I plan to, asap. One where I actually learn somethign would be nice :(
lazy sput is lazy.

I did the standard art classes we all had until year 11 (16 years old). In the end I got an E. I don't think that counts.
Other than that, I now go to life drawing workshops every Friday, although it's not really a class par se; there's no tuition at all, just a place where there's nekkid people and artists. Does that count as a class or no?

Elementary, Middle and High. Nothing to complicated, but I learned some stuff along the way.
I'd take some college classes, but a) The entry level classes are always full when I get to register
and b) All the non-entry level classes either have the entry-level classes as a prerequisite or are for majors only.
I can sort of understand the major thing (weed out the non-serious folk looking for an easy ride), but seriously! A prerequisite for Drawing I?
. . . Though I did take a college Art History class. Art of the Pacific Islands. I didn't like it 'cause they made me write a fifteen page paper, but otherwise it was pretty neat. We spent the entire time arguing about how Euro-centric we were being.

I'm going to say no, since I only took one required one in eighth grade. our district had this policy of PICK YOUR ONE GIFT AND THAT'S ALL YOU GET TO NURTURE!!! so in high school I opted for voice lessons over art.

Up to Junior High: We had "explorations" so I had it for 9 weeks in 7th grade, and 7 in 8th grade.

Lets see what else... would two Digital Imaging or a photography (traditional) class(es) count?

Took art all through elementary and junior high. Took every single one of the art classes offered in high school (I had three different art classes all through senior year), and I got my BFA in painting at Illinois Wesleyan University. Every semester for those four years, I had at least two art classes out of four, and senior year I had only art the entire time.
So yeah, I took a few.
