Pixar or Dreamworks?

Post by Soap Soaperson »

Juuuust curious. I may be with somewhat a majority, but I say Pixar.

I just don't like Shrek. T_T Though, I did enjoy Ice Age.

[edit]

Oh, and Antz. I prefered A Bug's Life, but hey.

I haven't seen A Shark's Tale yet, though.

I liked Shrek and Ice Age, loved Shrek 2, but I haven't seen a Pixar movie that I didn't like and couldn't watch many times over. And the Incredibles may be the best movie I've seen this year.

Pixar has better writing. "Shark Tale" was a horrid movie.

Toy Story 2 is the only movie that can still make me cry.

Pixar. I loved "Monsters inc." and there was no Dreamworks' movie that I particulary liked. Plus, as I said earlier, they have a nasty tendency of stealing a concept of Pixar movies.

pixar. grew up with the bouncy lamps on sesame street.
I liked Shrek, but that is the only good thing to come out of Dreamworks.
check it. Ice Age was produced by Fox Animation, not Dreamworks.

Oops. Well, I guess I haven't liked even one of Dreamwork's films, then.

The reason this topic was made was because after seeing Shrek 2, my friend said that DW was "Officially better than Pixar". I wondered if others felt the same way.

Pixar, the sheer awesome they exude is absurd.

Although they did scar me as a child with that 'toy running from a baby' animation. Babys have forever haunted me because of Pixar. The tossers.

Didn't even need to think about it: Pixar. Dreamworks is only out for the money. There's no heart in what they make. All it is is big name actor voices making pop culture references that aren't funny. We just saw Shrek 2 last weekend: pathetic. Didn't laugh once. Give me any Pixar movie anyday, it's a million times better than Dreamworks. Especially The Incredibles. That's my new favorite animated feature. Pure genius, that's all I can say about that movie.

Oh, and I liked Ice Age too. That studio coming out with another movie called Robots on March 11 (my birthday!!!). Looks like some wonderful character designs. Could be a lot of fun.

Robots DOES look immensly cute, but they're totally pimping Robin Williams's role in it (as if it were the only merit). Hmmm.

I like Ewan McGregor, too. Wheee.

I'd have to say Pixar, even if Steve Jobs is the CEO.
He is soooooo evil.

Oh, and allow me to predict that Cars, Pixar's last movie with Disney, will flop. I saw the trailer before The Incredibles and that rusty buck-toothed thing made Jar-Jar Binks look downright charismatic. DAD-GUM!

I had heard a rumor that the collective animation studios were trying to form a class action law suit against pixar because they consistanly make good movies and make the other studios look bad.
...because its never your fault if you put out three crappy movies in a row....

You can check out that trailer HERE. Clicky.

Wooo yeah, Cars, that's definitely the Pixar movie that worries me. Pixar have a perfect movie record and now they're doing... That. Eugh. As much as I hate big American cars, I hate NASCAR even more; I worry for them; that's not exactly a winning formula.

I was so wowed by the Incredibles that I forgot being made to sit through that seriously crappy trailer. There was not a thing that didn't make me dread the day when my kid says "let's watch Cars!"
