Sequel!

I'd just like to officially announce that the sequel to my hit flash movie "Between Angels and Insects" is underway. (Watch it here: http://waterguy.keenspace.com/nowplaying.html , before I have to temporarily take it down. I'm being a bandwith whore  .)

The first movie took me 2 1/2 monthes to make, the second is taking me about 2 weeks (I had spring break to work on it, already have 11 minutes of animation done), even though it's 15 minutes long compared to the first's 10 minute running time.

Oh, and this one is even better. I've gotten feedback that the original had great animation, but the plot was cliche. The plot of the new one is much better, inspired by Dante's Inferno.

This has renewed my faith in sequels.

That, and Terminator 2. And I can't forget Star Trek II. I think the Wrath of Khan is one of the few sequels everyone agrees is better than the original. And X2. That was cool. I think because my comic is about superheroes, and superhero movies always have good sequels, I indirectly have the power to make cool sequels. That makes no sense whatsoever. La la la la.

*ponders about sequels*
It's not that there aren't any good, it's just that they aren't better than the first one. I mean, Terminator 2 was ok, but to me, it didn't top Terminator 1, still.
I guess we couldn't count Three Colours trilogy, huh?

I mean, look at Godfather: 2 was worse than 1 and 3 was a total dissapointment.

What about Girly? The sequel to Wendy? Oh wait, movie sequels... The original 3 star wars, although really I consider it 1 looong movie instead of 2 sequels.

But wasn't "Home Alone 2" a natural and non-contrived extension on the first masterpiece? :P

Ah, yes, that was the true masterpiece of film art!

It's so sad that Home Alone 3 - even as horrible as it was - was still better than the first two. I still haven't seen Home Alone: Taking Back the House, but it has French Stewart in it, instantly making it superior regardless of the quality of the rest of the movie.

I've not seen the fourth film either, but hopefully French goes all "Hansel and Gretel" and pops the little bastard in an oven.

I think the most important thing we learned from the Home Alone series is that if a young child is home alone when burglars break in, it will be quite a humorous situation.

On a side note, has anyone gotten a sudden surge in visits? I got 67 yesterday, 81 today (new record!), up a lot from my usual 35-40.

Actually my visits dropped by about 10 recently, although they seem to be coming back, but my apparently the sites have gone up massively, by a bout 100

All I know is "Barely Legal 7" wasn't nearly as good as the first six.
