It'd get warm enough to fry the Earth, or something?
Well, I guess painting the moon flat black is definetly bound to screw up someones horoscope.

the extent of my Latin is a lot of religious stuff from all the choir songs we did. all very pretty if somewhat archaic though.

And let's not forget the dangers of express elevators, missiles, vortexes, and taking off in general.

But they have the added bonus of looking hella cool, making for a dramatic billowing silhouette, and providing thermal shielding in the case of dynamite. *glares at Batman pointedly*

Everyone knows that the cooler a hero looks the longer he survives in the modern fan-dominated world.

I'm torn on the cape issue. Simply put, capes look pretty badass in City of Heroes. But some heroes should never wear capes. Can you imagine Spidey in a cape? Lameness. But Superman needs one or he looks ridiculous.

And it's not just a hero thing. A cape did sooo much for Vader. You know, back before Vader was a pussy and a chump.

Yeah, it depends on the situation. Capes are really more for the badass characters--the Jedi, Vader, Batman, etc. The ones that could be hiding a lightsaber or seven or a big freaking gun under that cape and you're not to know until they BLOW YOUR FREAKING HEAD OFF!

I have nothing to say about Superman. pansy.

Actually, on the occassions that superman somehow loses his cape, I always thought he looked pretty badass. Didn't his mom make his costume or something? Maybe she likes capes.

It'd be way cooler to paint parts of it black so it looked like a comedy five-pointed star.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons Supes hasn't changed his costume much. You just can't mess with something your mom makes you.

And I, for one, think that a costumes first considerations should be functionality and ease-of-change.

I wonder if Naked Man thought about that when he was designing his "costume"...

I caught the first episode of the old black-and-white Superman tv show once, and apparently that cape is the baby blanket he was sent to earth in.

Hey! When Myxzptlk shut off the planet's gravity, Superman restored it by superheating and supercooling a white dwarf star close to the Earth's core! Y'all take your "pansy Superman" talk and shove it, unless you don't like gravity or something! :P

Um, no one's called Superman a panzy... have they?

I liked Myx back in his imp form... thingy. The platinum-blonde twins are badass, but they don't seem like him.

That's the worst plotline I've ever heard. And I've seen The Core.

True, even when superman got those cosmic powers, he mostly used them to knock himself around the house when trying to shave.

So I missed the fine-print.
Okay, no one's said it OUT LOUD.
