I'm one of those "love all living things" kinda person.. ironically enough. And spiders are so interesting. Wheee I live at its kind of interesting cause lots of spiders make homes around and in my house. and I can see them daily living thier lives. I never thought of them as cute though. but this post has shown me the error of my ways.

I have that with birds.
Somehow they make me nervous - IT'S THEIR BEADY LITTLE EYES. And they always seem to want to peck me to pieces. My mom has a bird, and every time I go over there it always has to walk on me and bite my face.
With the exception of one very polite cockatoo, who was very cuddly.. and talkative.

My grandmother used to have a parrot that would sit on your shoulder and watch television with you. Very friendly bird.

It went insane one weekend. Was never right after that, and eventually had to be put down.

Does that make you more tolerant of bird-eating spiders?

When I goto work everyday, there are literately hundreds of crows. Two days ago they were all walking around, so I decided they were in my way and dashed through them all, gawds that was almost as scary as seeing them on the ground. Normally they are all in the trees or edge of the buildings, hundreds of them. It's like... "Look up" "What?" "No look up" "What I don't see anything" "Look at that tree" "It's a tree, it has leaves and bark and..." "Those ain't leaves" "GAH!!!!"

Yeah literately you could film a remake of 'The birds' just by going outside. I'm afraid they are going to mob me if I ever come out with food. As it is I took subway (the food) to work and was like, oh shit, this is warm and probably smells like food, they're going to attack! Fortunately I think they were sleeping.

Anyway, as for spiders.

If it's small , like smaller than a dime, I'll leave it alone or escort it outside, most of the spiders I've ever seen in BC are like that. Though apparently there are black widows and I might have seen one, paniced and wouldn't go in the hottub for a month from it.

If it's over the size of a dime (including legs) then I freak out. Though I won't readily kill a spider unless it's in my way since I know they will get rid of other pests like...

wasps... hate them, a lot. It's cause of them that if I hear anything buzzing near me I panic and run away.

Also hate...
Ants (red biting ones)
Ants (flying ones, they are mega scary)
Moths (the no-see-ems which are bloody annoying)
Misquitos
anything that looks like a bee that isn't a honey bee. There is a smaller thing that I think is just a smaller yellowjacket wasp, more black than yellow that is also really freaking annoying.
Flies (I'll generally ignore flies untill they get stuck against the window and sit there buzzing like mad against the window, then I either open the window, or catch them and let them go outside the window.
earwigs , and their partner hellspawn with the pinchie things.
larvae/pupae of large insects, not only are they fucking scary, but after seeing something that was over an inch long I wouldn't go outside for a long time.

But I have a vendetta on non-honey-bee flying buzzing insects. I'll also ignore ladybugs.

Back where I used to live, I was very evil to "red" ant nests, and would kick over the rocks or drown them with water. I hated them invading my space, so Invaded theirs. There was this large rock that I couldn't lift (it had to be over 100kg) that was a large source of red ants.

It would be cruel to the spiders to try and use them to get rid of the ants from back there. The ants outnumbered blades of grass.

Those are the size of dinner plates.

A goose bit me once. Whenever I see a goose flattened in the road, I stop and laugh at its corpse. Whenever they're in my way on the sidewalk and they hiss at me, I run after tham and bark. They're all talk so I see them run away and shit themselves literlly. Godamn assholes.

BUGS SHOULD NOT BE BIG ENOUGH TO EAT BIRDS

I'm hoping the birds and bird-eating spiders will destroy each other in some great cataclysm.

I wonder if we can engineer Cope-eating spiders...

And in the chaos of the bird-spider wars, the ANTS shall rise above them all.

Then we'll have to get the ants fighting cockroaches or something.

But the cockroaches would win easily! The moment they got their hands on nuclear weapons, bang, cockroaches win.

They're gnome-hittingly big. THAT'S TOO BIG!

The problem for the cockroaches would be finding a way to press the big, red "nuclear apocalypse" button.

They'll build a big balanced stand for a hammer and tie the hitting end over the red button with string. When the time comes they'll gnaw through the string and sit back to watch the world go up in smoke.

Don't worry, Legendary, there's no such thing as hammers.
