Why no deaths? Death isn't a permanent thing on keenspace and it adds another possible level: Limbo.

Has any one said Ryclaude's Manor for a location? That'd be awsome. Lackies rule.

Also, I downloaded that AGS thing, ad it looks F'ing crazy! Kudos to you Moo.

between the mansion and the church, i'd say the church is cooler.

Specially if its a robo-church

Gah.

I meant no player deaths in the 'Whoops, you fell in a hole. Hope you saved!!' type way. In that big plot thingy in my second post I already detailed a part where 'mooman' gets shot and has to escape limbo.

I think I'm assuming that people already know a lot of stuff about this game genre, so sorry for that and I'll try and be clearer. I sometimes forget that I've poured eons of thought into this whilst other people probably just think it's a neat idea and move on.

Mooman wrote: ACT 7 - (Playable character: McDuffies)

McDuffies and Officer CJ get chewed out by the Chief of Police (Kelly?) about not catching Bob yet, and the media circus going on at him and the Mayor having his backside etc etc. The Mayor comes in (and it's Kisai, ho ho). Let it be known that the Mooman is sorta running out of brain juice here as he tries to think up this plot on the fly. Anyway, a scene happens where Kisai chews out Kelly and then there can be some romantic beginnings between her and CJ, (unless this is uncomfortable with them irl, cause I know that kinda came up before with Stlaking Evil and I don't want to step on any toes).
I'm all for a romance storyline n_n. I get to be a cop and snuggle Kisai, what more could I want?

I'd make one hell of a news anchor with the ability I have to talk about nothing forever and ever about well nothing and the not shutting up...wait...talk about nothing...does this make me a standup comic as opposed to a news anchor?

CNN Breaking News: Good luck Moo.
Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

I kind of doubt that a game could involve every single person here and not be bloated and insular to the point of being almost unplayable. Especially since including story arcs for so many different characters, let alone the fact that so many of our characters are different genres completely....

Well technicaly I think main characters are rather few you can have maybe even 15 "main" characters with little issue (Main being have a role in the Actual storyline in some way) The rest of us will be in the background. I personally suspect if I get tossed in to maybe be on a computer screen, you might be able to say "hi" to me but very likely it'll be limited to a "look" option where the main guy says something funny. Maybe if I were lucky you can "use" me and delete the sprite because killing defenseless sprites is always funny you monsters.

So the large majority of us will have no actual role in the game and do stuff like sit at a cafe and eat in the background.

When the death happens, I'm there to collect the soul.

It's not only my job...it's something I truly enjoy.

Spritey has managed to hit the nail on the motherfucking head. Thank you for saying what I found difficult to find the words for.

I'll be doing as much music as I need to do. Since it'll be in MIDI format and I love MIDI format I'll probably be doing a great deal of it. If anyone else wants to chip in, I see no reason not do, but when it comes to music, I've no qualms over doing it all myself.

My pleasure honourable Sir Moo.

Linkage. http://www.scummvm.org/ It's important to note that this allows for the playing of old Scumm games if you already own them, you need to actually own the game to play, this just makes it a BILLION times easier because you don't need to do Dosbox or programs like it.

I've got SQ4 hanging around here somewhere - my computer is too fast for it, so everything goes like 10x the speed they're supposed to, making gameplay close to IMPOSSIBLE. I got killed within like the first few seconds of wandering around. I had to get my brother to adjust some settings before I could play it at a reasonable speed.

I just wanted to work at the burger joint and talk to the condiments... :(

It's well worth noting that there are at least two games - Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen, both of which are absolutely amazing games - that are completely free for download and use with the SCUMMVM system. Both of them can be found amongst the downloads section on the SCUMM site.

Existence is a series of catastrophes through which everything barely but continually survives.
