Is it just me or did cast members start mysteriously dieing? I remember that after they added Scrappy half the cast dropped off leaving Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy, and Daphne and then she too kind of dissapeared.
I blame Scrappy myself. I think he killed them and buerried their corpses. I mean, Jinkies, Velma was a gold mine! They wouldn't toss her!
And I liked the movie myself. It was amusing. Especially the Scrappy angle.

Don't blame Scrappy, blame time.
And it's funny that of all the cast (not counting Shaggy and Scooby) they should pick the most useless and the most 2dimensional character. And she got picked only because she's hot - or supposed to be hot at least, how can something drawn in Hannah&Barbera manner be hot anyway?
Which brings me to another interesting point: bad acting. When I was a kid, I never really noticed how bad their voice acting was. "Boy, am I glad to see you!". It's as if director said: "Let's choose a dub that sounds the most fake".

Now, now, let's be reasonable here. Scooby Doo was, and still is a very useful and educational resource.
Over the years it has taught generations of children lots of important life lessons. Important lessons such as:
a) Monsters don't exist
b) All old men are evil
c) Hippies like to snack
d) It's all right for young men to wear cravats
And e) An ugly girl is much better in a crisis

Random fact 235:
Scooby Doo is actually based upon the college town of Amherst, Massachusettes.
Freddy is from Amherst College. Hes a pretty boy.
Daphne is from Mt. Holyoke. She's a rich girl.
Velma is from Smith college. Shes a lesbian.
Shaggy is from Hampshire college. He's a hippie.
Scooby is from Umass (aka ZOOmass). Where I went to school. We were Scooby because "we are some dumb we can't even talk right"
This is the honest to god truth too. The guy who made the show lived in the area. And the stereotypes hold true even today.

I heard that too, though I also heard that's one of those stories that get passed around. And the joke is funnier when you're familiar with those schools, unlike 98% of the rest of the forumSpriteville, USA wrote:Random fact 235:

I'd always thought it was the other way around, with Shaggy and Velma usually ending up together. Or Freddy taking both ... girls ...DoctorVortex wrote:When I was a kid I wondered why Fred always wandered off with Velma when Daphne was much prettier. Now that I'm older, I assume that Velma does things in bed that Daphne wouldn't even consider doing.
... forget I said anything.
