Re: Little Big Planet
Well Wii shortages are predicted to persist this year. Personally, I find the lack of a monthly fee via PSN gives the PS3 a big advantage over the 360 if you don't mind the extra coin in which case it seems you don't, however, the large library of 360 titles that have accumulated from its head start in the war, and the superior library of the XBLA is an attractive factor.
Re: Little Big Planet
Although with the ever increasing reduction in price of the XBox 360 you can pick up a couple of years of Gold membership and an additional controller for the price difference versus a PS3.

Re: Little Big Planet
Hell, two years ago I got a Premium 360 with two games, two controllers, basically every bell and tassle I could buy, and it was still cheaper than a bare-bones PS3
Not to mention you get a month free Gold membership right off the bat, plus you also get like another free month in a voucher in most big multiplayer sales

Re: Little Big Planet
We wanted a Blu Ray DVD player, and it cost the same for a PS3 (which plays Blu Ray) as it did for a player at the time.
Re: Little Big Planet
Mmmm, little big planet. God i love that game. Plus, the recent patches made it incredibly easy to find levels and stuff. I'm really happy with the game.
What's your PSN ID, Nanda? maybe i can challenge the other daniel to a game or two.

Re: Little Big Planet
i won't buy a 360 until they get the hardware more stable. thats my main hold out point... well that and the fact that they have only two games that I can't get on a ps3 I'd want to play.

Re: Little Big Planet
The 360's failure rate is measured at 3-5%
Considering the PS3 has a 2% failure rate...

Re: Little Big Planet
Where'd you get those figures from Rob? I've seen it happen too often for that to hold up.
Re: Little Big Planet
...says Microsoft. According to retailers, it's closer to 30%.Killbert-Robby wrote:The 360's failure rate is measured at 3-5%
And why the hell does every discussion thread about a PS3 game in the history of the internet have to get turned into a damned 360 vs PS3 crapfest?

Re: Little Big Planet
It happens for any system. Fanboyism is popularly blamed on a behavoir developed early on in responce to a family being able to afford only one console. The only systems that sucked enough to warrent such animosity were ones like the Philips CD-I and the Atari Jaguar.

Because you just decided it was one?Berg wrote:And why the hell does every discussion thread about a PS3 game in the history of the internet have to get turned into a damned 360 vs PS3 crapfest?

Re: Little Big Planet
I really don't think that was my decision, considering I never posted in this thread until today and the console bashing shit started as early as the third post (although it wasn't about the 360, my bad). I'm just calling a spade a spade here.Killbert-Robby wrote:Because you just decided it was one?Berg wrote:And why the hell does every discussion thread about a PS3 game in the history of the internet have to get turned into a damned 360 vs PS3 crapfest?

Re: Little Big Planet
retailers say 30%, warranty providers say 16%. if they were 3-5% I'd be closer to buying one than I am now.Killbert-Robby wrote:The 360's failure rate is measured at 3-5%

btw if interested. an interview on an "alleged" member of Project xbox 360. not saying its gospel... but a decent read.

Re: Little Big Planet
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't willingly buy a device with a 16% failure rate.
