Sure, why not?

Left side is vertically-oriented monitor, lower right is laptop screen, upper right not accesible. Icons my own design. Maria is the sexiest evil gynoid ever.

Old version? I'm pretty sure I'm running 7.10 here. Though, I do remember the running mouse splash!

Yeah, I remember the solid eyes. They looked less out-of-place, I think. On the other hand, the shiny eyes aren't eww enough to ruin them for me either.

Is KDE 4 out for mainstream distros yet? I'm curious. I haven't tried KDE in years.

Yeah, they scream "animu", whereas his old style was just pleasantly anime-influenced. I still like his work, though; I mean, you still know right away that it was done by "that Scott Pilgrim guy".

Also, Phact, awesome desktops. I had the blue P3 one for the loooongest time. :D

Of the three pc's I regularly use at work, only this one has an interesting desktop - the others are plain blue.

This is a sunset on Mars, as taken by one of the two rovers we have there now. The full size picture is really stunning.

I can understand. I had some bad run ins with KDE a couple years ago. Its still kinda flaky in vanilla. But my current set up is running nice, just had to poke around a bit. but it wasn't as tough as getting my laptop's software based hardware drivers to work. That was a nightmare ^_^

I don't follow the distros as well as I should, but I want to think that Kubuntu probably has a version in beta. I usually just start with a distro base, and then compile my own stuff from there on in. I tweak my cores so awful, that its a pain to continue to update from strict distros. I tend to loose all my hackings.

I would recommend it though. Just throw on the kubuntu cores to your existing Xubuntu build, and you can select your enviroment from the logon screen. try it out. if you don't like it you can always remove it.

btw I'm still running 3.5 myself. been following 4 a bit, but its not at the point I want to update just yet.

I usually change my desktop once every few days. Most often, it's something from off the intarwebs that amused me. This is what it currently looks like.
