You should use the Phil Collins version.

I decided a couple years ago Under Control by The Strokes would be a good pick for mine. Nothing more fitting seems to have come around. I guess Can't Tell Me Nothin by Kanye would be fun.

This is definitely a GD thread, but whatever.

Hmm... for Equinox, the "Fife and Gun" theme from Gettysburg. Turning Point... I dunno. I may think of something eventually...

either Big Casino By Jimmy Eat World, or Foo fighters the Pretender.

Or Imogen Heap, the Walk.

I'll be decisive about it one day...

or not.

So what makes you think you're giving your comic the correct theme song?

The Strokes have a real urban sound (more NY than Chi, of course, but details) with detached vocals and general hipsterish apathy surrounding them. This particular song throws in just a hint of regret along with the too-cool posturing, fitting all sorts of themes in my urban hipster comic.

When I still did my comic, it was Friendly Ghost by Eels. Or Last Stop This Town. Now, I dunno.

Any of John Philip Sousa's military marches, in a hand-fart version at double speed.

Oy, Sousa marches. We used to play those all the time in band. But I like the idea of using a fart machine to spice things up.

I suppose LWK would have some kinda flamenco. But it'd be spiced with heavy guitars. I wonder who could do that.

It just feels right. It's got that sort of moody, depressing yet hopeful quality to it, and it reminds me of highschool. It's bleak in the way that only 90's alternative rock music could be - emotive, but a far cry from emo.

I used to have a soundtrack to junkRIOT but I don't think I ever had a specific theme....

As for avernyght I have no clue

Edit: I changed my mind as much as it's prolly one of my least fav BNL songs I think the theme to junkRIOT would have to have been One Week by Barenaked Ladies

I'd use Breath of Ghosts by Assemblage 23 because it a. has ghosts b. I like it and c. it fits how I see Pumpkin Flower as creepy. But whenever people comment about my comic they tend to say it's cute so maybe I should go with Nice Weather For Ducks by Lemon Jelly instead... if they're ghost ducks. (Ok this means there's going to be ghost ducks now.)

It's way easier for me to think of good individual character songs.

If you had to play as many Sousa marches as I had, you'd feel the same. Especially if it's that fart sound from the Monty Python Foot.
