What'd poor bat ever do to you?

Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

Okay here comes an explenation:
At the library I work we often get bats in the uper floors. When this happens, everyone finds the people who aren't afraid of them to remove them, and by that I mean me. We have these crappy plastic bug catching nets to use.
On the second floor there are little rooms where one can study in silence, and this is where the guy was discovered and trapped. He was flying in circles around the room, so I opened up the door a bit and waited for him to make his escape towards me, where I would catch him. The nets are tiny mind you, and a bat barely fits in one as is, plus I had been practicing my fencing more than usual over the last couple of days, so when the guy made his move I ended up clocking the little guy in the face with the tip of the net. He then did a barrel roll and started crawling around. He was stunned, and seemed to be moving his limbs just fine, so thats cool.
The bat was removed and released outside, where he'll probably end up finding his way back in, and maybe well both have better luck next time.

You should have kept him. Ladies love a guy with a pet bat.
