Did you know you don't have to be into sports to drink Gatorade? You just have to be a really thirsty dude. I think they're missin gout on a pretty big market, here.

Excuse me?!
October, 2004 would like to disagree with you.
If you want to root for underdogs, go with the Royals. They suck outright.
Sorry. Yeah, anyway, the World Cup and soccer in general gets a big "meh" from me as well.
how is soccer exciting? the games are always won by one goal margins, and the players take a dive if you breathe on them. at least in hockey, when you get hit, you get right back up.

...so their record is now 1 win out of 100 instead of 0 out of 100? I'm afraid I'm unimpressed. but I'll also root for the Royals at your request.
Soccer/Football IS exciting! It's fast paces and has guys with really buff legs running around and being all manly. And I've played the game before, I know how much freaking skill they have.
Go Spain and Germany.
...and the US I guess.
Sports are fun to watch because it's being able to see years of work and dedication right there in front of you, in action. I don't know, I just like it, is all.
And I think football fans are WAY crazier than hockey fans. When's the last time you heard of a hockey ref getting killed for making a bad call?

6 out of 101. Enough for 3rd overall. But who's counting?
One can't truly understand the magic of the World Cup unless they live in Brazil. For a month it changes everything around here.
Recently we had an outbreak of riots on some prisions, and on top of the demands, the prisioners wanted TVs to watch the world cup. Our love for football is beyond crazy, it's surreal.
Our indigenous game of football (Australian Rules) is similar to that if you come from one of the five of seven states that play it. Unless you're from New South Wales or Queensland (and we;re making progress converting those heathens too) it's the number one game in the world.
Although no, it isn't played internationally although several countries including the US have their own domestic competitions.
Similarly to soccer in Brazil, although probably not quite so fanatical, AFL has the same sort of majesty (which will be argued by other Australians here because they are computer nerds and not supposed to like sports).
In Victoria we have a phrase. Football isn't a religion. It's more important than that.
I reckon soccer in Brazil is pretty much the same, eh?
Remember when your imagination was real? When the day seemed
longer than it was, and tomorrow was always another game away?
Bah, I don't really like sports, and Denmark didn't even make it to the finals. Still, the amount of attention World Cup is getting makes it nogh-on impossible NOT to watch just a little bit of it, so I'll be cheering for Germany, simply because no one else does. (Well, except the Germans, I suppose)

They paint their faces and travel all over the world to watch men play with their balls. Then they beat up people who like the opposing team and riot whether their team wins or loses.
