Tomboy = the total fucking opposite of a girl girl. It's a kinda like a woman's woman. if there is such a thing.

Yeah, there's that to consider too. Most of the women I know who consider themselves tomboyish are really anything but. I think that often the idea of being tomboyish has more appeal for them than actually living/dressing that way.Jackhass wrote:Heh, sorry to burst your bubble, but us guys don't wear "nice blouses" (well us MANLY ones don't)...you're not that tomboyish.mrs_rkolter wrote:When we get back from the ceremony, I'm going straight into slacks and a nice blouse.
LOL!
Just back from the ceremony. I forgot to change shoes so I wore flip flops under my skirt. Oooops.
I'll be a t-shirts if only I did have a professional image to uphold. Part of the job. Teachers got look good all the time...sighs. I'll be wearing a cool aqua bohemian top and some brown pinstrip slacks with flats to the reception. It's at a posh location downtown. I CAN'T wear heels. I've never ever have master that torture thank goodness!

The humanity!... okay so to each his.. or in this case her... own. But I maintain that skirts and dresses are pretty. especially the medieval ones. and ones with velvet. or lace... and ribbons! ooo ribbons!... I'll just trail off here.wishmaster wrote:I hope not, but it could be. These days it seems like the women in dresses are the ones who stand out. I swear these things were invented by men to torture us. No sane woman would have invented them. Same goes for panty hose.

I'm a tomboy, but when my brother was getting married a couple of months ago, I decided that I wouldn't ruin it and be the only female in a suit (yes, even though he offered me that choice), my brothers wedding was more important even though . . . evil dress . . . <shudder>
I forgot about the photographs, too...
Hi-heels seem so inconvenient for someone who does martial arts, how the heck are you supposed to kick people and keep your balance at the same time? .. Not that I'm violent or anything... I'm an ... umm... a pacifist! Y-yeah...

At least you won't get strangled or get your neck caught in a paper press because of heels.Mercury Hat wrote:You don't have to walk on ties and neither will you be in danger of breaking an ankle if part of your tie snaps off.
But yeah, men and women both have ridiculous things we're told to wear in the name of fashion.
