I mainly get yelled at for being antisocial when I draw in public. Then occasionally, people will want to flip through my sketchbook, and I sit there cringing the entire time. (Not necissarily because I'm all that self concious, but because I'm waiting for the inevitable moment of supressed embarrassment when they find the pages with the nudes.)

Ditto that, but more of the drawings showing hanging people and murderous scenes. Eheheh.

I'd only get attention for my drawing skills when we'd have a group project in school that required us to draw a display or something. Then everyone wants to be in my group, all of a sudden.

Eh. Sometimes I forget how many people just plain don't draw. I mean, statistically, there are far fewer people who devote their own free time to improving, right?

But I hang out here, where everybody, regardless of skill level, is always practicing and drawing comics. And there are people who are better at it than me, so I don't think I'm anything special or particularly good.

But then, I end up drawing something in the 'real world', where people are are amazed and say 'Wow! You're so good!'

It's disorienting.

Anyway:
I wish i could draw in public like you do. Whatever gets girl's attention (added to shallow list and dosen't care either).

Actually the only time someone actually remarked my drawing (other then people IRL who are close and know of my site - it's more like "wow you draw stuff" rather then amazement at the quality, still enough for my ego) was this summer when i drew my grandparent's house. I was usually only able to produce something half-decent after hours of using my tablet in PSP, so i was very pleased that people liked what was really my first "true to nature" drawing.
The perspective was a bit off, and being used to draw "from the mind" can make it a bit tricky, but i was happy
Still i haven't drawn since then, or for months before that. Damn my money-making-fun work !

1) All the surprisingly attractive women around me have suddenly decided slightly overweight majorly stressed out guys are hawt.

2) I am sitting in an unusually dense population of absolute artistic morons.

Women have a built in sensor to be able to tell who is married and unavailalbe. that sensor though works in the oppisite way you'd think it would. Instead of telling women "Hey, he's taken, back off." It says "Wow, he has an air of maturity and responsiblity about him and I can't put my finger on what it is... better flirt with him to find out."
