I'm sure your just kidding. but no one is 100% without killing things. Being vegan is about "seeking to avoid animal suffering" according to the creator of the Term Donald Watson. There's been a lot of conflicts about what this means in the Vegan and AR community, and a lot of "IN" vegan jokes about being a level one vegan includes hiring someone to gently sweep the floor when you walk to brush away any insects you might step on when walking down the street.Rkolter wrote:I thought the average person ate 10 spiders a year, while they sleep. That would make you non-vegan when you sleep...
truth is, the term actually originated from the anger many "vegetarians" had at the time, of the term being watered down. Pescetarians (sea food) Pollotarians (poultry) are not veggies yet they claimed to be so, and it really rubbed many the wrong way.
But if you vote for the Slumber party... well we'll sleep on it.

Statistics show that babies who aren't used as props by their parents for humorous pictures grow up to be serial killers.McDuffies wrote:In fact psychology says it's good for the baby.Nanda wrote:This is what parents do. Once I woke up and a spider was trying to crawl into my mouth. True story. The spider thing is an average someone came up with at some point. Like most probabilities, it probably only holds true over a very large sampling.
That said...
...Spiders. Brrrr. I freaked out hard enough over one walking across my pillow.

Yes very much so MCD. There has never been a study on people eating spiders in their sleep. If there is one I'd love to see it. Of course its ridiculous to even concider the chances most people would actually succeed in eating one spider in thier sleep in thier lifetimes. As Firstly you'd have to sleep with your mouth open (which yes I know some people do but not I). Then a spider would actually get into your room (which again is rare... but hey it happens once a year) but the biggest issue is that a spider would have to jump/fall a conciderable distance cause they won't go anywhere near a gigantic mouth. Plus If you felt a spider on you in your sleep your hand would be the first thing to move in most situations not your jaw.McDuffies wrote:The spider thing is an urban myth, tho, right?

Eating Spiders
Snopes has an article on this myth (which wasn't meant to become one at all).BrownEyedCat wrote:The spider thing is an average someone came up with at some point. Like most probabilities, it probably only holds true over a very large sampling.

Also trust me in some places spiders getting inside is pretty common.

Whatever you say, Tommy Westphall.Dragonkingdoms wrote:As interesting as the prospect that he's imagined the whole thing (?) is, I don't know how it adds to the jam without discrediting other's work (unless it's an alternate reality). But whatever. If he arrived on the scene a good two and a half years ago, that means he's gone that long without a mate- a woman of his race that understands him. Maybe that's the problem?
Whatever the case, you've got to let him free, because he will just go more and more insane the longer he's drugged to stay human. (Alice in Wonderland syndrome) He longs for the outside world, to rule over the dragons (hence the nickname DracoKing). What can it hurt?

Yeah. I was just harassing Phactorri about being a vegetarian again. He can't give the vegetarian vote to Kwill if every night he secretly eats ten spiders.Phact0rri wrote:Yes very much so MCD. I would LOVE to do a federally funded study on unconcious nocturnal spider consumption.

Oh, you'd just spend money and make up results.
Spiders indoors are common here (I like them, they eat bothersome insects), but I figure I'm not eating them at nights, otherwise there wouldn't be any of them by now.
I did occasionally almost eat ear bugs when I was in grade school, weaging braces.

Fundamentally everyone sleeps with their mouth open at some point as most everyone has moments of sleep apnea.
