I have just discovered the greatest comtemporary love song! "Instant Pleasure" by Rufus Wainwright:

"I don't want somebody to love me / just give me sex whenever I want it / because all I ask for is instant pleasure"

Huh . . . seems like this topic just popped out of nowhere. I must be more tired than I thought.

At least They Might Be Giants has been mentioned once.

I just unearthed two songs I remember from my childhood: "6 Underground" by the Sneaker Pimps and "Not an Addict" by K's Choice. Weird how the memories come flooding back.

I pledge more allegiance to individual songs than artists, but here are the few I do like:

Garbage
No Doubt
Blondie
Fleetwood Mac
Nine Inch Nails
Madonna
Janet Jackson
Depeche Mode
New Order
Stevie Nicks
The Prodigy
Heart
Underworld

I have the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex OSTs, and got copies of all the music from Cowboy Bebop from a friend of mine, and that stuff just blows me out of the water. The music is so diverse and entertaing. I just picked up some songs by The Pillows, and I'm trying to find my U2 cd...
*glomps TM* Yoko Kanno is simply awesome! Have you listed to the Wolf's Rain soundtrack that she put together? [anime music junkie ^^;;]
Nope, not yet. I've been going on an early gangsta rap (thanks to GTA: San Andreas) and the pillows (thanks to the release of the new OST3) binge at the moment, so I haven't listened to it yet. I might pick up some new cds this weekend.
You know, i should work on this.

I also listen to the Pillows a lot. The "Another Morning, Another Pillows" album to be exact. Personally I love "Sleepy Head, Come Down, and Skeleton Liar. Lemme see.. what else do I indulge in for my listening pleasure?

System of a Down
The Killers
Various anime opening and closing songs
Tenacious D
Many assorted DDR tracks.. >.>
Mindless Self Indulgence
Final Fantasy remixes
Creedence Clearwater Revival
and a bunch of other stuff.. but when I'm drawing mostly I just put on The Pillows.

Yeah, the CDs are so good, I have to buy them. I'm saving up to buy the legal Japanese version of FLCL OST 1 and 2 (both of which rawk) at around 40 dollars. Damn little tokyo prices.

My friends and I are planning to pool our money so we can buy all of the original CDs, and as it turns out, there's a lot of them. A LOT.
You know, i should work on this.
