Aha! I liked this trailer a lot better than that other one!
If anything, they got the guide itself spot on!

This somehow felt appropriate.

'Guide's good. Marvin's good but isn't quite Stephen Moore. He could use a bit more exargeration on the voice. Deep voice trailer guy is up to his usual standard.

This is a different deep voice trailer guy than the really famous one, though.

This one's the current popular choice. They have these little fads in trailers, just as ES Posthumus's choral music was the popular choice for trailer music a year ago.

Bleh, this movie is gonna suck major balls.
Having just read the
review by Douglas' biographer my heart sank a lot. A whole lot. This new film sounds godawful.
EDIT: I should point out that the page this link points you to is supposed to be spoiler free. It does contain links to the full length review which does contain a lot of spoilers.
I read through the long review, I figured it wouldn't be strikingly different from the radio and tv shows. How wrong I was.

Damn that doesn't look good at all.
I'll probably still see it, but with my hopes severely curbed. Just pray maybe they manke changes I know in my heart they won't.

I'm losing interest in live-action movies completely. They seem to have replaced good writing with special effects.

They didn't even include the Guide entry of Earth! THAT'S JUST A BASIC NECESSITY! Why ever would you cut something like that out?

That makes me cry tears of blood. I can only hope that it's dropped my expectations so much that I'll be pleasantly surprised.
...vein hope, I know.

Ack.
I just started reading the first book, which is great so far, and now I'm wondering if I should temporarily stop, so I can enjoy the movie.

According to the review, you won't enjoy the movie either way.
Either you'll have read the book and be pissed off that the movie sucks, or you'll have not read the book and be pissed off because nothing makes sense.

this review makes me sad. The worst part is I can see it's all true from the the previews they have released.
I remember caring... It was nice.
