Well it's always possible that a Canadian team could get in the World Series (I think).

I don't know much about baseball.

It was so awesome to see the Yankees perform the biggest collapse in baseball history. Awesome!! I hate the Yankees sooooo much. Especially A-Hole, I mean A-Rod. It was great to see him exposed as the unsportsmanlike loser that he is. Truth be told, I wouldn't be upset with either team winning, but I thing if the Sox won it would be harder for the Yankee fans to take, so go Boston.

Hell yeah!

I figure, the Sox are making too much history (longest postseason game, only baseball team to come back from 3-0, etc) to be stopped now.
And, in the (hopefully) slim chance they don't win the World Series, I still take solace that we did make that huge come-from-behind win, that we beat them in the Bronx, that the Spankees made the biggest choke in sports history. Or as I read somewhere, "we don't say 'choke', we say, 'gag like a contestant on Fear Factor'".

It's all anyone can talk about around here. I've been giggling like a madman the last few days

That, and singing "Tessie" by the Dropkick Murphys.

And yes, Toronto is the only Canadian team left, since the Expos are moving to Washington.

See, it's that sport where some dude throws a ball and the other dude uses a big stick to hit it while a bunch of dudes try to catch it and the dude who hitted it has to run all over the field to score a point.

I'm from Missouri, so I root for the Cardinals, because if you don't you become a social outcast.

To be completely fair, though, I'm not into any sports anymore.

They just seem...pointless to me. Even when a team wins...they just have to win again, or everyone makes fun of them.

Doesn't sound fun to me.

Sounds like gym class in the 7th grade, and the volleyball incident.

Yeah. I'm not telling THAT story.

By the way, has anyone else ever played "Cageball?" It's like volleyball, but the ball is bigger than a beachball and sort of squishy...we used to play it in 9th grade in gym...

I think I'm going to go watch the Local University's Hockey Team today since I can get in free with a school id (is once again thankful she never threw it away)

I am undecided. Honestly, I didn't want the Red Sox to make it to the World Series until both them and the Cubs could do it. I'll just remain neutral this year. Just really glad Houston didn't get in.
