Show off your machine
This is my brand new comp setup. I've been a Mac user for about a month and I'm already on a hardcore Mac snob.

It's alright, no one is going to judge you. Unless you were jerking off to the Mac and not to the porn on it.Toxic wrote:Hey, it's winter. I get runny noses.

Re: Show off your machine
iMac, Wacom, headphones, scanner, printer, notebook and iPod. Oh, and there's a 1TB media drive tucked behind the iMac which you can't see. And it really does stay that neat and tidy.

Funny thing - when the iMac gets hot it gets hot on the top edge on the left. In the early days, I was a bit paranoid about the heat - especially since the aluminium iMac was brand new at the time. Every now and then I'd feel across the top of the iMac to see how hot it was running.
To everyone else it looked like I was stroking it.

The problem with steam-based machines is they tend to overheat right in your face.

Don't forget it dies out if there is nothing to make the steam.

From that other computers thread:
If I had a camera these days, I'd get a picture of my desk. If this thread's still around in a week, maybe I'll borrow a camera phone from someone.Jesusabdullah wrote:So, pictures of my computers, which are decidedly Anti-Macs when it comes to design elegance:
This is my computer, 100%. I traded an ancient AMD Athlon for the case, and my friend got an amazing deal since the case is a total piece of shit. As a result, though, I didn't feel any need to hold back on Doing Shit to it. On top's a handle from an old bass amp I had. The replacement front bezel's made of cardboard and duct tape, of course. What you can't see is the new fan I added the other day in the back; I pieced it together from an old power supply and the molex connector from an old CD-ROM drive.
My brother gave me his computer when it stopped working, and it turned out all it needed was a new hard drive and DVD drive. It's the one I put Windows 7 on. The video card (a 7000 series GeForce we got from a friend) was getting hot, so that's why I added the fan (and a bunch of ducting that you can't see).

Apparently, someone of imageshack's stuff had the same idea about Toxic's "machine".RPin wrote:It's alright, no one is going to judge you. Unless you were jerking off to the Mac and not to the porn on it.Toxic wrote:Hey, it's winter. I get runny noses.

Bleh. My laptop is rather boring, unlike your fancy Macbooks. Not that I would get one anyway, Macs aren't for me.
Pic shows the DS and PSP because it was taken to post somewhere else, I'm just reusing it.

I'm not allowed to take pictures of my work computers (I have 2, one secret and one unclassified).
My personal computer is just a macbook, and you'll see a picture of it when I take pictures of my room.

I just noticed both my harddrive and DS are black.
It's all so colour-coordinated!
